For Mercy on Stadium armory?
And what is difference between weapon speed and weapon power when weapon is staff? Like all it does just heal
Weapon power = Increased healing.
Weapon speed = It heals even faster.
By pressing left alt it tells you what ability it affects. Also click on the box on the left side and hover the icons.

Ability, for every character, is anything that is not their weapon.
Anything that is not left-click or right-click on your mouse.
So for Mercy, Ability would be Guardian Angel, Resurrect, and Valkyrie.
And I don’t think Ability power has any effect on hers. But I could be wrong. Weapon Power beefs up her staff and pistol.
As far as I know, Mercy’s ability power pretty much only affects two(?) of her powers: the rez overhealth and the GA heals your target for distance traveled. There might be a couple others I’m missing, but I don’t think her base kit is affected by ability power.
By default Mercy does not benefit from ability power. However, she does have some options that scale off it.
For example, her power that gives her overhealth on rez scales up with ability power. Her power that heals based off her GA travel in meters scales off ability power as well.
This is …very situational
It is.
I wouldn’t recommend stacking ability power with Mercy. But if there’s an item you want that happens to give it you can at least get some small benefit from it.
Since Mercy doesn’t have to reload when using her staff for heals, weapon speed and weapon power will have the same effect for her: increasing her healing per second with no downsides.
Now, for beams that have ammo, like Mei’s and Zarya’s primary fire, also Moira’s primary with its resource meter, weapon power will increase their damage/healing per second, but, in the other hand, weapon speed will also increase their damage/healing per second at the cost of faster ammo/resource consumption.
Third case is Moira’s secondary fire, which is a damage beam with no reload, so similar to mercy’s (but dealing damage instead of healing), both weapon speed and weapon power will increase its damage per second with no downsides.
When analyzing Mercy’s pistol, weapon speed will make her shoot bullets in a faster rate of fire while weapon power will make her cause more damage per bullet.
And when talking about Mercy’s damage boost beam, I don’t know how/if it is affected at all cause I couldn’t test it.
Not necessarily:
Power * attack speed
150 * 1.10 = 165
155 * 1.10 = 170.5
150 * 1.15 = 172.5
I’m not sure on the exact math and how it all works out, but basically you want more of what you have less of it seems like.
What is that 150 you gave power?
1.10 and 1.15 for speed I know it is +10% and + 15%
Anyways what I meant was, qualitatively, both will increase the healing per second, I just did not say quantitatively how much each to make it more efficient.
Yeah I think you’re both just trying to say the same thing.
Weapon Power and Weapon Speed will both increase the Healing Per Second (HPS), but they will not both increase it by the same value. Since they essentially act as two distinct multipliers, the value of one will be dependent on how much you have of the other, and vice versa.
As you add Weapon Power, Weapon Speed will become more valuable. As you add Speed, Power will become more valuable. This means you want to add them both in roughly equivalent amounts for maximum effect.
Well now I understood it.
Like +50% of just one will have a different result than adding +25% each cause it’s gonna be 1.25*1.25= 1.56 instead of just flat 1.5, isn’t it?
Yes. Correct.
Other characters that have an actual ammo pool have to consider the ammo as well. Weapon Power is generally a little better than Weapon Speed for most characters for this reason, because you have to take reload time into account. Damage Per Magazine becomes a little more important.
But you still want some Weapon Speed, it’s just not quite as valuable given reload times. Then again, you can also significantly expand your magazine and/or reduce your reload time with other items, if you need.
You know, all this math discussion reminds me of how bad I want them to add a filter/highlight items for specific status I’m looking for in the armory menu.
Ability power does nothing for mercy.
Weapon power buffs staff’s heals.
Damage boost percentage does not scale up with any stat. But because it’s already percent based it can do a lot of work as your team’s damage increases.
There’s also a single item unique to Mercy that gives her +5% damage boost.
Ability effects all non-weapon powers. Healing included.
An example of unconventional use of the ability stat:
Usually Mei doesn not benefit too much from Ability power but did you know? Her perks that create a mini-Blizzard around Wall and all versions of Cryofreeze INCREASE DAMAGE with boosting ability power of those mini-Blizzards, the Cryo-Roller AND your Ultimate? Stack that with the “Blizzard damage +100%” item and “ability damage causes 2 seconds of Anti-heal” item…
You’ll be the Ice Demon everyone makes you out to be.
Just to highlight the difference if you have 50 power and what the difference would be if you had 5 more power or 5 more attack speed.
Not sure if that affects the mini blizzard around cryo cause I tested the item that slows enemies 20m away from blizzard and it only worked for her ultimate, not for the mini ult, you know?
