I mean it’s not like it’s illogical or anything.

  • Blizzard’s still doing announcements for their games despite Blizzcon being cancelled. When was Blizzcon last year? That’s right, the third week of February.
  • Mike Ybarra literally told us we were getting OW info in the “coming weeks”.
  • Everyone in the know (The CCs under NDA, community managers and other devs) is telling us there’s cool stuff coming.

And then on top of that, we now get a “leak” for literally the most likely date. Occam’s razor, my dudes.

Is this the year of cupid Hanzo?

All of this should be taken with a grain if salt honestly, building expectations on these “leaks” often leads to disappointment. Even if real we could get dates moved or stuff cancelled. Point is, i´ll trust this once we actually get the info.

I’m curious to see how the game will turn out, but I don’t care for any of the hype right now. I have to see it to believe it. A roadmap would work too.

Same. We’ve heard things like faster/more aggressive balance patches. We were told we’d get more OW2 info following the last PvP stream. Or was it blizzcon online? Not sure but either way we get nothing. I’m at the point now where I’ll believe it when I see it.

I do believe they will do the whole valorant thing, dropping beta through streamers before owl, the only issue here would be valorant didnt have a existing game to eat into its population.

here the community will be split.

Also the content i think will be bare bones with may be 1-2 heroes and 3 maps and push.

They will however release 10 interviews, 30 articles patting themselves in their back, pay big mainstream streamers to stream for a month.

No monthly updates are ok i guess. But I think quarterly or semi annual updates isn’t too much to ask lol.

You’d think, but given the circumstances with the whole massive lawsuit and all I think they did pretty well. Three OW2 streams in total if you count the Grand Final OW2 match, two reddit AMAs, a few blog posts, skin reveals and new community managers which actually talk to the community.

Compared to 2020 which from memory was literally nothing, they were objectively more communicative.

Also sorry if my comment seemed rude lol. It wasn’t necessarily directed at you, but I just can’t help but think of that whenever somebody says we got nothing :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
