Poorly as this version of Sym was, I still think Photon Shield could’ve had potential if they’d only worked with it.
Gonna be sad not having Shield Gen yet tho.

I think sym mains are going to quickly not be having fun as they will get rolled since she has no range pretty much at all. It won’t be the same playerbase as 8 yrs ago where turrets got much more value.

You are forgetting there is no kiriko to save to you from sym, no ana to nade enemy babayaga,
Also the speed demon Lucio was.
Oh it’s the same playerbase. I still get fools in QP who try to tell me Symm is only crushing them because she’s OP. I think we will be fine.

Well, good luck, because support Sym in a no limits 6v6 is painful. Especially if the other team will just go double Winston or double Pharah.
Yea, but she has rein range. With speed boost yes maybe she can close the distance. Other than that she gonna be such a free kill.
There are still bad players for sure; but nothing like launch when everyone was new. Also depends on the mmr ppl are playing, I think sym with be hot garbage in like diamond plus.

When Sym-1 was “good” the entire playerbase was figuring out the game. When they got good, they had to go Sym-2 to not get left behind…then the playerbase improved further.

I’m so happy but V1 of Symmetra was very bad with her 4 meters beam.
I wish we could have the Shield Gen + 7 meters beam & betters turrets that we got like 5 month after release

I can’t wait for shield gen Sym because I’m hoping we get to hear junkrat repeating himself “I’m getting the feeling they have a shield generator.” until it’s destroyed.

I wonder if they brought back the full on noodle beam that stayed attached behind Sym and even through walls.
Yes since it’s just the 1.0 version of every hero so the beam will still do that
I have mates who are in platinum (leagues above me) who say “Symm is busted she does so much damage, absolutely busted” and I’m like… You’re actually above average at this game. How do you think this? It’s difficult to get value out of her in silver, unless the enemy team literally cannot shoot your turrets. My team never sees the turrets… Only I do… Why am I the only person ever who sees and shoots the turrets?

Sym 1.0 wasn’t that great. She could cook if properly supported by a Mercy, but aside from that she’s not too terribly threatening. 2.0 on the other hand… Yeah, bring HER back.
I hope they do a Classic 2.0 version as well. That’s when I’ll live on Symmetra again.
I’ll definitely be giving her a shot again. OG Torb… Lol… Can’t wait.
