Please be respectful and not be like those pathetic people in the replies. Appreciate the amount of work this guy has not only provided for us but the voice acting industry in general. He’s partaken in many roles, such as Ed n Eddy as the protagonist, Eddy, and now in our game, Overwatch, as our Italian Soldier 76. This is an appreciation thread for him and his work, which will not be dismissed!

On July 24th, the Italian Soldier 76 voice actor “Roberto Draghetti” died of a heart attack. I don’t know the main factor that caused it though.

Christ, Twitter makes these forums look like sugar and spice and everything nice.
RIP Italian Soldier.

That’s really sad to hear. Sadly I don’t speak Italian but I’m sure he was great.

Some embarrassingly flippant comments there. My favorite is the @mercy Rez him one.

Believe me I have to reply to multiple people regarding them begging for the Summer Games event and them begging for the event on a tweet regarding someone’s death has just gone too far now.

Christ can people just read a post before complaining? Like half the whiny replies clearly skipped it to complain about the game. Anyways other prominent dub roles Draghetti played included Eddy from Ed, Edd, n Eddy (as mentioned), Cyborg from Teen Titans, Spike from Flushed Away, and many more. Best wishes to his family, and I hope they never realize how garbage some people have reacted to his unfortunate death.

Really sad to hear. He had real talent.
I wonder how this will effect OW2 and future content? Obviously new voice lines won’t be a thing unless they get a new VA.

I read tweet replies and they are really bad.Like people came there to complain for the state of the game and not even say R.I.P for the good guy who did VA.This just shows how pathetic and low this garbage community has came.

Probably the utterly poor matchmaking going on currently thanks to the sea of new alt/smurf accounts…
In all seriousness, its sad but unfortunately that’s how it goes for all of us in the long run : /
I am glad for him it was this and not some lingering death like cancer or Covid-19.
This joke is a bit insensitive, I’m not going to flag it because I’d prefer to ask you to remove it. This man just died.
