OCE players ending up on the Las1 server

Something clearly isn’t right at present.

I have connected to the las1 server three times in a row. I am in Sydney, Australia.

I googled where the Las1 server is located and it’s supposedly Las Vegas. That’s 12,000 kilometers away.

Needless to say, my ping to this server was really high.

We’re used to the occasional game for us ending up on sgs1 server. That’s already less than ideal. But if the game is routing us even further it warrants investigating.

Update
Just ended up on the gtk1 server. That’s Tokyo.

6 games tonight. 4 ended up on las1, one on syd2 and one on gtk1.

+1, same issue. Either LAS1, Tokyo or Singapore. Had 1/4 games on Sydney. Absolute hot garbage and unplayable.

+1, I’m also in Australia and still having this problem for the past week or so.

LAS1, Tokyo and Singapore servers for at least half of my ranked games.

In my last game (placed on Las Vegas server), all 4 of my teammates said they were also in Australia. I don’t know if its matchmaking Australian players together and then failing to allocate the right server?

How has this been going on for this long, needs to be fixed.
