Replay: WKSSPM Time: 5:22~24
The issue is not reproduced in the replay, at least not fully. During the actual live match, I jumped as Rein before shattering. For some reason, in my perspective, some boxes or other object with height was in front of me, despite my attempt to round them before shattering, and during my jump, I for some reason appeared to have gained enough height to shatter on top of them or they teleported in front of me. It’s hard to be sure which because it was a very brief instant and frames were quite obviously dropped in between. I would assume they’re the black stage storage boxes normally seen on the left in the replay. It lasted until I died, which was only a briefly 2ish seconds, but I could see my shatter travelling partially over air from the point where it landed on the box, and shattering the railing on the second floor above. The railing breaking part still exists in the replay, and nobody else was in the right angle and LoS to break it.
BtW, speaking of dropped frames. I have a Nvidia 970M in the computer I’m playing on, which I’ve used almost since the beginning of Overwatch. I have almost everything I can turn off turned off or to lowest settings, both in the interest of visual clarity and performance. I have not changed my settings at all. I won’t talk about the past performance issues introduced in Ow2, but as of last season, things were still running relatively smoothly, even if I only get around 55 average FPS (60 is max for me). This season, things have started to take a heavy dip, especially with some reason update patches. I see a lot of issues where there’s an obvious gap of lost frames, as well as shots not registering. This was most severe after the Hanzo change, though judging by other bug reports that might be separate issue.
Now, yesterday, I just updated my graphics card driver from v551.86 to v566.03 (the latest Game Ready driver available for my card). I did this hoping it would help with the performance and improve the dropped frames issue. It did not. It’s only been a few matches so far, so it’s a bit hard to tell, but possibly the issue has been made worse. Movement feels floatier than ever, and then I get this weird object teleporting now in match. So I’m providing this information in the hopes it can help.
