Number of Coincidences around the next possible Support Hero

  1. Sombra is getting a rework same time as the next hero release.

  2. We were told we are getting more Mercy like heroes. (Possibly around attack boost this time, current hack works similar to AB.)

  3. Lynx is an Omnic Hacker who has existed as possible hero candidates.

  4. April 9th is Easter this year… aka Lynx has Omnic Bunny Ears.

  5. We have 4 more months to see if any more clues line up.

So to round up for now, Sombra could get a total hack rework, while we get also an Omnic Bunny Eared Hacker Support Hero Lynx, whose Hacks provide attack boost, released in April Battlepass.

Mercy like is more in terms of pacifist I would say.

Still gonna note: they said Heroes, not hero.

Lynx wouldn’t be added as a hero, he’s a background character from a single comic. Sure, he had a big role in it, but there was nothing aside from his design that was noteworthy.

Sure, because background characters can never be OW2 heroes.

Just Ana, Sombra, Doomfist, Brig, Orisa, WB, Junkerqueen, Moira, Sojourn and Echo.

Highlighting Moira was also from a single panel in a comic.

Tbf, Kiriko came about and had literally no role in anything besides the tiniest of clues in that one map or whatever.

I mean, Mauga was going to be added and he only appeared in one Story.

And Ramattra is in the game and he was only present for 5 seconds during a single cutscene.

Basically almost all heroes have been hinted

Outside of I think Ashe. (Who was created the fastest)

Given that we seen PvE cut scenes of Max running scared from Omnics

His survivability as a NPC is more in question

Only all of those heroes have had some presence in the game, even before their release, Moira being the only exception.

Where’s any dialogue, map details, hero interactions, map interactions etc relating to Lynx?

I’m not saying it’s an impossibility, since it’s happened before with Moira. Prior to her release, we’d only ever seen her once, and while she clearly had her OW1 design, or an early version of it at least, present in that appearance, it was far from screaming hero release.

What I’m saying is don’t get your hopes up. It’s more likely the next hero we get will be someone like Ramattra, who’s been an idea for years now. They’ve still got that long list of heroes they had when work began on OW2. Echo being the eldest of those, we’ve got at least one more from that list, since we’ve since had Dez, Sojourn and Kiri and Ramattra.

Some people have to have a literal tweet and a streamer literally say it’s possible before they commit to anything.

If they add them it will 100% be for the non-binary, lgbt inclusion. I have nothing against that, I just feel like they’ll make a big stink about it on Twitter like they’re heroes to the cause or something.

They might even pull a Gearbox and ban people from the forums that misgender them (Actual thing, not even kidding. There’s a robot character named Fl4k who is nonbinary in Borderlands 3, and since the game came out if you misgender them on the Gearbox forums, even accidentally, you are instantly and permanently banned)
