i don’t know why you thought you’d be able to balance the whole roster PLUS ONE. just do the right thing and right click > delete this. make everyone’s life easier.

That ability isn’t as easy to get value out of as you think. Have you tried playing her much? Her ult has a shorter cooldown because of its relatively low effectiveness.

Yeah, if she can. I would say the vast majority of the time it results in killing nobody. It’s better for setting up other plays than anything.

what do you think? no. i actually came here to complain after not playing against her at all. as a matter of fact, i stopped playing this game (or any other game) 10 years ago while also deliberately completely avoiding any computing device more complex than a calculator.
i also meant the whole hero. idk its name.

junkrat mine needs to go, if he gets one or two people with it it’s enough. no reason it should be on a faster cd than mercy res.
freja ult literally does 215 damage with a lot of it being over time lol. It’s one of the lowest value ults in the entire game and it’s really hard to actually land as a direct hit because of the cast time.
of all the problems in the game, this isn’t one of them.

Like every other Damage-role ultimate, it needs teamwork to make it really effective. Otherwise, you’ll need to follow up with a Take Aim shot to guarantee a kill on at least one target.
For a Damage-role ultimate, it’s actually not that bad. It has its counters, and you can survive it, but you’re guaranteed to get some value out of it, compared to say… Dragonstrike, where it isn’t likely to hit anything unless no one can hear it or it gets some teamwork coordination.

Yes. The expectation is that you learn how the game’s tools work, especially if you’re going to complain about them. It’s not on Blizz if you don’t want to learn.

The problem with Freja is her precision Pharah rockets and Pharah mobility. Her ult isn’t a big deal. In fact, I hardly ever see her use it on more than one person.
The problem with Freya is the same problem that the entire game and games like this have: The average player is so dumb it’s a miracle they manage to figure out how to turn on their computer and run the game.
The average OW player cannot figure out how to unlock a door let alone how to counter-swap to deal with a problem enemy.
Thus any character introduced that requires more thought than “I shoot at them and they die”, causes problems.
When introducing characters, the devs really need to take into consideration how absolutely brain dead their player base is.

right now i mostly play cass and i’m dia 5 though i don’t really play much. am i still too dumb for your criteria? should i go hanzo instead?
Cept this just isnt the case at all, because Frejas problem is the same problem Sojourn has been dealing with for ages.
Blizzard wants to design a “high aim requirement” hero to be viable for pisslo and it makes no sense to ever design a hero to be this way, not to mention the double wammy of how awfully they executed this design.
Putting all of a heroes eggs in the singular basket of a 2 shot body shot explosive bolt with realistically zero down time, stuff like that will always be disproportionately harder for pisslo to reliably achieve than it will for actual people with hands.
Theyve left themselves nothing to give Freja should they make bolts actually fair and balanced for anyone above gold the hero will never have viability for low elo. Her primary is garbage, and no matter how many buffs it gets it wont ever be good enough to replace the power of two shot body shot bolts, they tried this with Soj by amping her M1 and nerfing rail into being fair and the character never recovered until rail got buffed back up
Freja is without a doubt a terribly designed kit, its horrendous, Blizzard has done it again where they design a hero solely to be cool and fun to play as, ignoring the other 66% of the thought and design thats required to make a good hero that can be changed in ways that target one rank more than another, and a character that doesnt make any game theyre in dramatically worse and less fun.
You wanna see how those heroes that are so insanely unfun to play against? Look at Doom and Sombra who arent even that amazing yet still across the board are perma’d everywhere.
There are people in leadership positions among the kit design team that are terrible at their job, and any time they get to lead a new design the game and its players pay for it. Freja. Is. Garbage.
