Hanzo, needs to have reverse falloff in order to avoid Sniper Meta, now that Blizz will -correctly- nerf barriers.
What is reverse falloff? Basically Hanzo should do less damage the closer they are to their targets. This will allow Winston, D.Va and Hammond (dive tanks) to deal with him effectively.
Hanzo can still get distance on the divers with his lounge, so he shouldn’t always be at a disadvantage.
Love to all.
Edit: removed Ashe and Widow from the equation. Most of the posters seem to agree that Hanzo is the problem.

I would love to see this for Hanzo in particular.

Yeah, Hanzo is the one that needs it the most, but in any case Blizz should implement the mechanic, and that could allow them to add more snipers to the game

Why would you include ashe in this? She’s like the most balanced hit scan in the game by far. Neither hanzo or widowmaker have normal fall off, she does.

I mean right now if PTR goes live the biggest thing that needs to be fixed is that Orisa and Sigma are basically Gods that everyone else revolves around, but yes once they get gutted either later in this PTR cycle or on next one then you need to tone down Widow and Hanzo.
I’d like to see a rule for all dps snipers; just so Blizz won’t figure out I’m going after Hanzo and Widow
I don’t want them to touch ashe though. She’s perfect as she is

I agree she is very well balanced

I don’t think Ashe necessarily needs this since she can’t really one shot, but Hanzo and Widow for sure

Dynamite is far from balanced.
Okay, but then I want maps that have literally 1000 yard sight lines, hell, remove 95% of the buildings from Numbani, and extend the map by about double to each checkpoint.
The changes just make tanks more active with their other abilities instead of sitting behind their shields spamming into a shield war. They reduced shield health which at most reduce the amount of shots a Widow/Hanzo would have to shoot at it by 1-2, far from game breaking, especially since you’d likely still be holding your shield for 2-3 seconds after the cooldown is up, because your shield still had health. (Edit; Orisa example)
They already, and still do. Unless your plan is to compensate by causing Widow/Hanzo to deal more damage the further they are away (meaning they can 1-shot Winston/Dva mech before they can dive), you’re just asking for preferential treatment to always win dives on Widow with Winston, which is much more common than Widow destroying Winston when dove.

Dynamite is easily cancelled out by literally any source of healing. Unless you’re away from your team and out of position, then you shouldn’t expect to live through it, and it’s kinda your fault if that happens hahaha.

Unless that healing removes the dot tick, no, it burns too long and requires sustained healing (Moira’s Orb, Lucio) Ana/Zen can’t heal through it effectively, the explosion deals too much damage, and it’s easy to get picks from a Genji/Tracer shooting at burning targets. Out of position, it’s 175 damage from the dynamite alone.
Mmmm I might agree about the base damage of the explosion, but at least the dot damage is slow. And as for Zen, He’s such a throw pick in 2-2-2. His healing potential is just absolute trash, and he’s a massive liability. If I was dying to ashe dynamites over and over again id be screaming at my Zen to change too hahaha.
Zen can Trans the Nano-Blade. Or Nano-Bob. Or save basically the entire team in a time of need. His ultimate is still super strong. The problem stems from his single target/LoS healing style, and is mostly a damage oriented support, discord orb is strong, and his damage can two-shot if the Zen can aim.
That’s not really the point, as none of this really speaks to snipers, Ashe is broken, so saying she’s “perfect” is faulty to argue.
(Also, nobody points it out often, but Mercy + Ashe = 225 damage headshots before falloff, so she can be almost Widow)

Ashe dont one shot so i see thos really bad for her.

Oh no dude I know how powerful his ult is. Not denying that whatsoever. But in both shield and dive meta he is just a complete throw pick outside of his ult. His damage and his orbs are cucked by shields, in dive he’s the easiest support to take out. His healing orb just sucks on squishies, outside of tanks/mei/reaper etc it just feels absolutely useless. Not to mention how slow 90% of Zen players are at throwing those heal orbs out when they’re busy trying to kill things. It’s the same result of 222 coming too quickly. We STILL have goats balancing buffs with mei and reaper etc in their current state. I just don’t think they thought it through with zen. And I personally don’t like the ashe + mercy combo. It’s effective, but cheap. Same as pharmercy.

you cant give a sniper reverse fall off, because it makes them completely useless against anything that gets close.
if a tracer was able to sneak up on me or a Winston dove me, that shouldn’t mean I roll over and die by default, I should still be able to dish out my damage and kill them with a skillfully placed shot.
The idea that a persons skill should be handicapped just because they are at a close range is stupid.
cool if you want that, then the damage should be upped for longer ranges. The further the shot the higher the damage. I hit a rien cross map in the head? should be a one shot kill.
sounds stupid right? same thing for reverse fall off.

I think only Hanzo should have reverse falloff. Because a rifle or sniper rifle to your head would kill you at point blank. An arrow probably wouldn’t
Also Ashe requires twice as many headshots as the other two to get a kill so its not fair for her

That’s precisely the point. They should suck against anything that gets close.

no they shouldn’t, they should be under pressure if anything gets close. they should still be able to fight back if they do, especially with the amount of mobility in this game.
