Now That Sombra Is Good In Higher Ranks

Will Blizzard still rework her? She seems to be doing very well now, so a rework would feel redundant. From what I’ve seen, Sombra is similar to Tracer or Widow in that their effectiveness increases as the ranks increase.

She’s well-represented in top500 play, at least in north america. That might affect things a bit.

It’s the most toxic, disguting, braindead, pisslow cheesy hero ever made.
The fact that they made her good again makes we wanna puke.

She is good only in higher ranks with teamplay.

So yes they need to rework her to make less support and more dps.

I don’t have a horse in this race since I only see Sombra once in a while anyway, and the damage buff made her less like dead weight in my lower rank games so I’m not as leery of having her on side as I used to be.

I imagine the rework will go ahead because it’s not all about raw performance; if a playstyle is despised by enough people then it’ll get changed. We saw that with the Hook nerf. And I wouldn’t be surprised if players in the highest ranks really hate going up against a Sombra. I could be mistaken, but if I am, the people who are cool with Sombra as-is should probably speak up, and speak up soon.

Or make her more support that’s always an option.

No. She is clearly designed to be dps. Offensive. This is not possible to give her decent way to heal.

Anyway they rework her in more dps way. They will change one of her ability. She will be more fighting with her team like soldier 76.

They’ll rework her so that she stops being played again. Every time Sombra becomes playable (not even good, just barely playable) they change something to ruin it.

Blizzard can’t let any DPS but tracer/widow/cass/hanzo get popular.

Her current state is the problem. Not her power level. She is such a frustrating hero to face and most of the time she gets away, resulting in a very passive playtime with little effect, but that effect is pretty trash in terms of how it feels.

Yes but do you know why?

When they and Ana aren’t popular the game as is whole isn’t popular because most gamers are basic.

It’s the proper way.
The most toxic character ever released

I don’t think those players really care, if they did, we would have the “rework” much sooner.

It’s mostly the lower ELOs who either one-trick a hero she counters or have little to zero sense of teamwork.

Me personally as a Sombra main, I’m fine with the way she is now but if they decide to change her stealth back to a timer, I’m cool with that. Hack is fine and translocator has to stay whether permanent or on a timer because she needs to have an out.

sombra is good XDD
the worst character
has same damage as ov 1 ( only she needs to hack first )

and needs more team fight than ever
but ok sombra is op how everyone is saying

Timed stealth is actually a good point because that’s something lower ranked Sombras have struggled with (although I haven’t seen it nearly as much since the damage buff but whatever): spending an inordinate amount of time waiting for The Perfect Hack™ to the point that most of the game, the rest of the team is having to make do with a missing DPS player.

I hopped on over to Overbuff after making my post and Sombra’s win rate is atrocious there. I know, I know, that’s not the end-all be-all, but if Blizzard’s own stats line up then maybe I got the wrong end of the stick with my first post; maybe her current kit is too hard to make work for schmucks like me, and that’s what’s going to drive changes. Still, the general point is the same; performing well at the top is probably not enough on its own to stop a rework from happening.

She is played in every game at mid-high masters, be quiet and stop coping.
Your character is viable again and due to its nature everyone abuses her due to how disgustingly braindead she is.
Go cheese some Sr.

Timed stealth would definitely weed out the decent Sombra players from the bad ones but she would need a buff to her speed while cloaked to compensate.

yeah bcs there is the most teamplay
and her teammates needs to help her all the time

1 sec is …useless´´ they can also remove it completly
and the hack to get decent damage is stupid XD
you need to hack someone to get the damage of ov 1

yeah the hack invis is the only thing good
but the rest are mehh

so why should you pick sombra if tracer exist
most of the time you dont even notice the hack itself

Nothing in her kit alone is OP, so you listing everything separately will surely make her look balance or even weak.
The combination of Stealth, hack, and the translocator which makes her unkillable make the the most miserable thing to play against and a prime choice for insecure cheesers.

And the fact that she needs teamwork is false. you just pick on the backline, farm EMP, hack the tank off cooldown and the game is free. All of this while she’s perma stealth, so positioning doesn’t matter.
And all of this would be fine if there was any risk involved to it but for some reason she’s allowed to woop to safety whenever something touches her.

With her you need to stalk targets and ping. When mates damage target you can finish them.

Ult strat take to long to be effective.

No, that would be widow
