Now I truly believe in elo hell

I have played more competitive this season than I have any other season and I am no top 500 player, but I am really invested in this game and watch 20 different content creators for it I was very easily able to climb 400 sr in a week on support, which I never play, but my dps is hard stuck in bronze and the people there are so bad when they are on you team and the other team gets all the smurfs making me truly believe in elo hell, now everybody’s gonna say get good and I have put a lot of effort into that so what are your suggestions to climb and do you believe in elo hell too?

I know of a person named etaf who climbed from bronze all the way to gold in 4 months, you should try to queue with someone like a duo considering their are a lot of smurfs.

Thanks I will try to find someone

A top 500 player shouldn’t be struggling to climb out of bronze. It doesn’t matter whether your mechanics are bad on your off-role. As a top 500 player, your game sense will be so incredibly high that it compensates for poor mechanics.

I said I’m not too 500 I just think I have good game sense

not necessarily, dps is a mechanically intensive role, SVB is a top 500 support/tank player who placed gold in dps and had to learn mechanics from scratch

Why is this evidence of elo hell and not just that you’re a better support player than DPS?

I also have to say climbing on dps is the least enjoyable and requires the most effort, your queue times will be long, having worse tanks or supports will completely hinder your gameplay, and you have to do a lot in order to climb. Find someone you can trust in support or tank and climb with them

You need play a lot to able to climb

Can we see a replay code?

Everyone who complains of elo hell, or blame their teammates, or just general say it’s not their fault never want to show a replay code because they know we find out they are the problem.

Would you mind? Or are you just like one of them?

While I am sure that he has flaws on his gameplay.

Support and DPS are pretty screwed in soloQ below Mid Plat.

Tanks quite literally HARD THROW games until about mid-Plat where they start trying to learn their role.

They honestly need to add an extensive Tank training mode for the game. Like 10hrs of training content on each tank, how to play each map, etc.

Tank SR is inflated AF, because nobody plays them. You can literally hit low Plat simply by not feeding your brains out as a tank… without knowing how to make space or do anything really.

I repeat… you can literally hit slightly above mid rank as a tank… having zero clue how to play a tank.

This is not true for the other roles.

There have been many cases of GMs failing to boost hard stuck accounts out of gold.
Idk what more is needed for anyone to be convinced.

I started as bronze and took me 3 accounts to get to masters.

No they are not, you can easily climb if you are just good at the game.

Sure you can lose games because 1-2 are trolling their booty off but the ‘‘elo hell’’ and ‘‘it’s always my teams fault’’ is just bs.

The only ones that say that are the hardstucks who don’t care about improving and just expect to gain sr by playing with their brains off, and that’s why they go here to demand nerfs to a hero they can’t beat.

period.

I will I just gotta get one because I’ve only been playing support past couple days and would need to acquire a new clip I will post one later today

It’s not always my teams fault I have bad games but 70-80 percent is my teams fault I feel

As long as you get more SR than you loose you will climb, even if you have a 50% WR.

It’s all about getting better stats than your average peer and hitting at least 50% WR.
I know this sounds too easy, but it’s not, stats padding won’t increase your WR, you still have to maintain at least 50% WR.

To show horrible slow climbing is:
Let’s say you earn 24SR for a win and loos 20 for a losse, that is 4 SR per 2 games or just 2 SR per game.
To climb 500SR, you need 250 games with 50% WR in a statically optimal scenario oh and you need to improve your performance on the way, otherwise you will get less SR the higher you climb

I didn’t say he was trapped. I was just saying that the game experience is truly awful for over half of the playerbase…due to Blizz providing zero tutorials.

3 questions:

  • How often do you play?

  • Do you stick to one role?

  • Which hero(es) do you play?

Honestly, I was hard stuck and opened another account only to find that they placed me in exactly the same rank.

When I got good enough to climb in one account, I climbed in 2 days further than I managed to climb in 8 months when I went back to my other account.

Sorry to say this but you will not will face smurfs and disconnects in Bronze but the amount of SR you get for a win will be huge if you are better than your rank and I saw that when I went back to my account, I was getting around 35 SR per win and losing about 16 SR per loss.

50/50 win rate would mean I climb but I had around 70% win rate.

I believed in ELO hell but the truth is I was never really good enough to climb.

I like the idea of the tutorials, especially something that teaches that the team does not have to go “Mid” and fight directly with the enemy, and for DPS too, mastering Highgrounds is essential and many do not do it or even try it

This is a hard truth to accept, often a last or bad position makes you lose the game.

Yes - it’s easy to focus on other’s mistakes but just a self-reflection question - how could I have changed it? - completely changes the game.

That one death, that whiffed ultimate, that missed heal on the Genji.

I had SO many instances where I dived dived an Ashe and failed to secure the kill just before let out B.O.B. by whiffing a hand cannon shot.

Now the whole team should not die to B.O.B., true, but if I killed the Ashe first, that wouldn’t have happened.

What I have seen in bronze and silver ranks is that your decision making is way more important than your mechanical skill.

Positioning, counter-picking, communication will allow you to rank up. I have been from bronze to high gold and all the way back down again so it’s a familiar journey for me lmao.

edit: forgot about ultimate usage, probably the most important factor tbh
