No seriously. I’m tired of my rank being sabotaged. A widow/cass dropped 43 kills while the next highest on their team had 20 (the orisa). Everyone else below 20. This is stupid man. IP ban these losers
IP Bans do nothing.
If you were to mitigate this problem they would have to take the approach of allowing one client access per Operating System ID. Since Microsoft is the parent company they could just require a verified OS ID to the system and use that as a baseline to verify the individual user to one machine.
Even if they run into the one issue of a person changing their OS ID. Microsoft can verify if they have sold that person an ID.
Its just all based upon Cost prohibitive counter measures.
1 ) Cell phones is pointless. - Everyone can run out and buy a cell phone at the dollar store for 15 dollars and get a plan for another 15 dollars.
2 ) Blizzard could go back to selling accounts, but this time never put them on sale. 40-60 dollars.
3 ) If they implement OS ID A person would spend about 100 dollars on an OS ID Key replacement.

This is something Blizz have refused to address!
It’s been a problem since the started offering the original OW at discount in 2017, then it just kept getting worse… Blizz didn’t do anything about it because the throwaway accounts were extra revenue that they weren’t getting due to people not buying loot boxes.
Going from OW to OW2, people said that the issue would get worse but it just means Blizz can artificially inflate their player base numbers.
Change games and move on would be my advice.
smurfs are not a problem
Even this isn’t a solution since people paid for accounts in OW1. They can’t just ban them or block access now. Sure, they can stop the creation of new accounts but that does nothing to stop the players with 10+ accounts.
Then add on the likely annual rank resets…That applies to smurfs as well. It’s a free smurf account every year. For every account.
I don’t see how Blizzard can fix that.
