No, the layoffs didnt affect the dev team at all. Besides, there are amazing prototype games being made by only 5-10 people in a group, meanwhile blizz has 100 ppl working on ow.
I really wish this was the case. Knowing Blizzard, this is what we’re getting if they’re prideful enough to believe Diablo Immortal will succeed.
Cool, other games have done 4x that to keep my attention. It isn’t entitlement if I wished the game would at least step up to the plate a bit rather than focusing on OWL.
And other games have done 0x that. Your point? Not all games are the same
What I said was entitled was claiming that you have literally gotten nothing this entire year and that since you got nothing you should have gotten a better PvE mission.
If they’re spending more than 5 months on an event that’s going to last a month there’s a huge issue going on.
I don’t understand the obsession for Overwatch PVE events that take up large amounts of development time and are basically a flash in the pan for most players, or lasting a month for the PVE die hards. People complain about development time for OWL neglecting the base game but want them to neglect the base game for a short lived PVE sequence?
Citation needed. The events are fine, Retribution was pretty cool, but it gets old fast. The majority of players aren’t even playing these sequences as the event wears on.
What games? Unless they’re 6+ years old, or have games large enough to provide long hours of entertainment, your argument falls through the floor.
The heroes/map release cycle is the norm. The lack of new things in events takes away from what we expect from a game this young. Since we’ve had literally nothing from the past cycle of events leading up to archives, its understandable that me and a majority of people are pretty peev’ed with what we got after all this build up.
I know that, but they said their focus would be put towards balance instead of new stuff. Arguably, balance has remained at the same pace with the usual forumla of one step forward three steps back.
If there isn’t anything to keep players coming back aside from 3 heroes each year, this game is going to plummet quicker than it already is
For the worst, as I said with the one step forward and three steps back. That all boils down to opinion though, even if a lot of people agree its not worth it for the lack of new event content.
You can shill Blizzard all you want, but they’re seriously screwing up here. If you’re enjoying the game, thats cool. You do you. For people who expect a little more from the game they once enjoyed, they could honestly do better.
