Not Recieving Twitch Drops

I have linked all my accounts and watched for more than 2 hours and didn’t get a twitch drop. I followed all instructions on each page where applicable. Doesn’t feel good to invest time in something and come out with nothing as advertised.

Jynkies,

Twitch drops are not active for the current season. The previous twitch rewards announcement was for earlier seasons of Overwatch league. Wyomingmist, one of our forum MVPs, has a post that covers the information we have on the situation for now. Sorry for any confusion caused by the old post, but at this time there are no token drop rewards for watching the Overwatch League and the like.

I wish to expand that if you are working to earn drops from the “Ashe’s Mardi Gras” challenge. Please note the following:

  • Overwatch League, or any stream from a service other than Twitch does not earn rewards. Rewards for the Ashe’s Mardi Gras challenge only come from Twitch streamers playing Overwatch who have opted in to allow drops.
  • A streamer has drops enabled if you see the following message below the video title. Note a title that says “Drops Enabled” does not count, only the message below the title.

  • Rewards for Twitch Drops have no in-game notification prompt whatsoever including the icon so you will want to manually check your sprays in any hero’s spray list on the Hero Gallery.
  • You do NOT have to watch one of the scheduled “feature” streamers.

If you know you are watching an eligible stream for the Ashe’s Mardi Gras Challenge. Here are additional troubleshooting tips:

  1. Verify that you are signed into Twitch with your Twitch Account
  2. Verify that your Twitch Account is linked with your BattleNet account. Make sure that the BattleTag displayed in your Twitch Connections page is identical to your current BattleTag, if it is not or is not linked, unlink and relink the account.
  3. If you are a console player, verify that your BattleNet account is linked with your Console Account (note that any Console to Twitch linking features DO NOT COUNT).
  4. Try clearing out your web browser cookies or other cache files (remember to sign back into Twitch on the web browser).
  5. Make sure that Twitch.tv are not muted in Google Chrome. Open a tab and navigate to Twitch.tv , then right click the tab of the site on the title bar of the window, in the pop-up menu, if it says “Unmute Site” click it to unmute the site.
  6. Make sure that Twitch.tv are not blocked for notifications in Google Chrome. (Check Settings > Content > Notifications).
  7. Try watching the stream on a different web browser. Recommended options include Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge*, Mozilla Firefox, and Apple Safari 1**. Microsoft Internet Explorer (this is a legacy web browser recommended for viewing out-of-date websites) will likely not work. Other web browsers, including Opera, are currently untested.
*Microsoft Edge is only available for Windows 10 systems
**Apple Safari is only available for MacOS systems
  8. If watching on a smart device, try switching to a different device (preferably a computer with a web browser).
  9. If watching on Google Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, or any other TV casting device, turn off that casting and watch directly from your smart device or computer.
  10. If watching on the Twitch App using a smart device make sure that your player is not in audio only or chat only mode.
