Not receiving e-mails from system

Hello. I recently received an account hold for violating a forum rule. The system account informed me of it and said I was sent an e-mail regarding the reason for the hold, but I received no such e-mail.

Obviously, I would like to know what I did wrong. My e-mail on file is correct, and there is nothing in spam or junk folders. Any idea why this has happened?
