Not overwatch related but battlenet related question

So I know this probably is a long shot , I had no luck finding a place to ask my question in battlenet forum but I know there are some smart people here who might help so I’m trying.

My sitation is I have two monitors, my primary is a GSYNC gaming monitor and when I open battlenet it opens here everytime even if I drag it over to my second monitor and then close it still opens again on my primary gaming monitor which I do not want.

How do I tell battlnet app to always open on my second monitor? thank you!!!

I have a dual monitor setup too and BNet opens on whichever monitor it was on when I closed it. Im on Win 11, but it used to work that way for me on Win 10 and 7 as well.

Do you have this setting enabled?:
Settings → System → Display → Multiple Displays-> “Remember window locations based on monitor connection”

I am on windows 10 and I don’t see that option under Multiple Displays. So this must be a Windows 11 feature.

Hmm, I didn’t have this problem in windows 10, it just worked for me out of the box. But it also might have something to do with how I use Windows.

Try it this way:
Open BattleNet
→ Right-Click BattleNet on the task bar
→ Select Pin To TaskBar
→ Exit BattleNet (don’t just Close it, Exit it)
→ Open BattleNet via the pinned icon on the Task Bar
→ Move the BattleNet Window to the monitor you want it to open on 2nd monitor
→ Resize the Battlenet window manually (larger or smaller, doesn’t matter)
→ Exit BattleNet (don’t just Close it, Exit it)
→ Open BattleNet again via the pinned icon on the task bar.

Did it restore the window to where you exited it on the 2nd monitor?

I might not of been clear, I am talking about the logon window, it always defaults to the primary I want THAT window to appear on the secondary monitor which is closer and I can see it better. Not sure if this is possible since that logon window is not able to be re-sized.

Oh, yeah, that login Window pops up on my primary monitor too, but just temporarily since it automatically logs in, then BattleNet opens on my secondary afterward.

I don’t think I can help you.

Yes, it’s a family shared computer and we ALWAYS use the logout option, none of us USE the “stay logged in option” because, well younger kids would have too much fun with that.

I’m guessing you all share the same Windows user ID too, eh?

If each person had their own Windows user then you could probably use BattleNets automatic login safely. But that is a bit of a change to undergo for such a minor benefit.

We tried that option to have a login for each person on the computer but there was too much hassle cause some of the family members would forget their password often. So we all use the same generic user and password.

I am getting my own laptop soon and so this problem should go away , at least for me.
