I play mostly TDM and Role QM. I have almost 2k hours and notice that it seems bliz is trying to ‘balance’ my team by giving me 300hr mates vs 2khr opponents. And the replays show it too.
I am not that great of a player that I can carry rookie teams. Why can’t I be teamed with my peers? Anyone else suffering this treatment?

Probably because very few people play that mode and to put a game together in a reasonable time it just pulls whoever is queued into a game without much regard for their experience or skill.

It’s matched on MMR, not play time.
Hope that helps.
Everyone is using smurfs. Playtime means nothing.
There’s ~5-10 topics posted about this almost daily on here. During the worst times at the beginning of OW2 when they had absolutely butchered the matchmaking system it was even worse. Everybody is already tired of constantly having to complain about this because they simply refuse to put in the proper restrictions that would separate players appropriately and make these matchups impossible. Just because waiting for appropriately MMR’d players would increase queue times. And not just that, but someone that would be appropriately MMR’d with you might also be on a win/losestreak or the system might be uncertain of them or udner any other special cricumstances; and placing these players in matches would be extremely hard with appropriate restrictions, since these players always skew up the matches one way or the other.
Not that any of it makes sense though, but for them it’s a massive sunk cost fallacy put together with hostile/toxic management that bars the team from putting in the restrictions. Not to mention that they lost a massive amount of talent who walked out and now mostly consists of overworked junior engineers who don’t exactly have the talent to solve these issues in an intrigued way, rather than the one way they’re barred off from. It’s sad and we can’t do anything about it. They’re costing their investors millions from the massive churn rates that the matchmaking causes, but it’s not like the investors know better so there’s no pressure from them
