Normalwatch Lifeweaver

Is a joke lmao

Projectiles now home in on enemies.
Projectiles per shot reduced from 2 to 1.
Rate of fire reduced by 35%.
Projectile speed reduced by 70%.
When enough projectiles hit an enemy, they explode for 160 damage.

It isn’t listed in the patch notes, but they also reduced his clip size to 20 from 100.

I actually deal less damage with “homing” thorns than I would with his regular weapon (even without superbloom). They gutted his weapon to add ONE “funny buff” to make it borderline impossible to use. The homing has an extremely small leeway which is barely noticeable since you have to massively overaim even in close range to accommodate for the slow as hell projectile speed. You pretty much have to be point-blank on an enemy for any of the thorns to land. Reducing his clip to only 20 ammo means if you miss any thorns at all, you’re forced to wait out his long reload, melee them to death, or disengage entirely.

So many heroes got a ton of silly changes without massive compensation nerfs. I get this is the funny joke mode but why could Lifeweaver not just have a slight homing with his weapon without giving it 5 nerfs?

You know why. The devs are jealous of him.

I think the whole change is a reference to the Needler from Halo. They made it fire very similarly. I think it’s meant to be a joke, not particularly effective.

And I get that, but I remember the Needler in Halo actually being at least an okay weapon?

except it works nothing like the Needler.

Are you insinuating the needler isn’t effective?

yes I am, and Im tired of people pretending like they get use from it

It’s a joke. They basically took away his secondary fire. Just a nerf.

It do.

It feels god awful

I don’t even feel like it homes in to enemies either, which just makes the speed nerfs make it feel even worse
