Normalwatch Event Challenges

May just be me, but having to complete 15/16 challenges to get a Legendary Skin Recolor, even if it’s free seems a bit too much work, from what I remember they usually have you do less of the total challenges to get the big reward.

About 11 challenges can be done fairly quickly, yes, but still, you need to play 55 games total (give or take how many wins) to get the Orisa skin…

Also, the Hero description thing doesn’t tell you the changes to the hero kit (like it does for Overwatch Classic), so unless you read the Patch Notes, it’s hard to tell what’s even different for some heroes while others catch you by surprise, like how Mauga can use his ult and fly away with people inside it.

Having to complete 99 games to get the bottom 500 title is criminal.

Took me like 2 hours to get 15 of 16 challenges. Is 2 hours in 2 weeks too much?

Well, it’s ~49-50 matches with a perfect 50% WR. But IMO that is still too steep for two weeks’ time.

It would be 66 matches with a 50% win rate.

Math

matches required / (loss chance + (win chance * 2))

99 / (0.5 + (0.5 * 2)) = 66

Nearly 5 games a day is actually diabolical. I said I would probably grind for it, but actually nevermind. I doubt I can make it. It’s not worth it. Everyone already knows I am bottom 500. I ain’t need a title to prove it.

Fire the person responsible for the 99 win challenge.

I think they should do this more

do something difficult but that even a bad player can do, it just takes time

creates an objective and forces people to play

creates value for the item, makes it unique

few people care about the skin, because everyone will have it

now the funny title that requires a lot of playing? People are excited and complaining, but if it were easy people wouldn’t care so much

I mean, the reward is only a title. And with a 50% winrate that’s 67 games within 2 weeks. Just under 5 games a day. Under an hour a day, under 7 hours a week. I don’t really think that is too much.

I guess it depends on how much you enjoy the event. 55 games of this mode is just torture to me. I could barely play 15 and all this for a hero I don’t even touch.

just wow…the level of entitlement here is insane

more like challenge accepted :sunglasses:

Yea, 13/15 the 25 Games mark would have been better. Then just put something else like another title on the 50 and 55 wins.

This mode doesn’t feel any different from regular QP. Just regular games, you know.

HOw many games do you normally play a day?

I usually just do 3 a day for daily missions. But once my Battle Pass is done, I play… 0 games.

That was last season. Given the lootbox system, I will try to play 15 games a week. I am still not sure what to do about the last lootbox, it might be better to do 18 games a week and then skip the last one. It’s not literally 18 games because wins count for 2. But, man, that’s a lot of games to play.

It’s a lot to ask, but you get double the progress on wins. The issue is, you get so many trolls on your team who aren’t playing the game. For example, every game I get a Rein who just charges up and down the map.

I must admit I trolled a few games doing that because it was so fun being able to charge endlessly on maps like Colosseo and I even got an endorcement for it. So I feel like the incentive of the progression system doesn’t match the “funness” of April Fools update, which encourages people to troll and experiment with hero abilities.

Suit yourself, but I’m not grinding 14 hours of the event game mode for a title, no matter how funny it is.

ngl this season was miserable but I still grinded out the battle pass so I could have the juno mythic on day one. yes the bp itself was bad but I used the free coins anyway

That’s 55 games at maximum or 29 games at minimum

That’s always been the case. Every year.
