Nobody is doubting that some matches are hard to win due to bad teammates. The conspiracy theory part comes in when people think the devs are carefully crafting these situations just to make them lose, because of course they are the main character.

Can you blame them? It clearly works for engagement, since you post often about it.

Many of us got 1000+ hours logged. They obviously put bad players with good players and hope you carry them. The problem is, we all don’t put out 30+ kills every match so you end up getting rolled sometimes.

time played does not necessarily correlate to skill

That’s just how MMR works, especially for newer accounts. They’ll test people with/against various MMRs to see where they belong. It’s the best way to do that, otherwise high-skill players would have to roll over lowbies for a long time to get up to their proper MMR.

Uh-oh. Sounds like they found you. First, it’s your Overwatch matchmaking forcing you to lose. Next, they’ll start monitoring your internet usage and stealing your pets. Better make the tinfoil extra tight to protect yourself.

Bro you gotta read the whole thing and process the words. I’m saying we spent enough time to recognize match making patterns.

He mentioned bad players and people being conspiracy theorist about forced losses.

My counter argument is that multiple people with 1000+ hours can’t be wrong about the patterns they recognize. Read my guy.

I mean

You can

I got 1,000+ hours, and I know you’re wrong because you cannot account for every single possible factor to forcibly rig a game against someone.

Aggregating the observations of a bunch of random people with no data sampling methodology or understanding of statistics does not somehow magically create a conclusion supported by evidence.

So, yes, multiple people with 1000+ hours can be wrong.

Did you push up your glasses before typing this.

No, I have wrap arounds so I don’t lose them in gym class. I never need to push them up. I did, however, straighten my bowtie.
