  • 8 metre radius

Notes:

  • Movement speed boosts, slows and barriers DO STACK, allowing for more synergy within the hero’s kit
  • This kit is extremely similar to Muriel from Paragon, but I have adjusted it to fit well into Overwatch

no

it already happened with sym

also it would be bad for lfg

i like the idea! although im not sure a nonhealing support will be an option now that they’ve given up on sym being one. Which is too bad i know a lot of people (myself included) love that concept

I think if the concept is carried out properly, then it could work out. This hero maintains the same concept of damage negation that is seen throughout all of the supports’ kits; the only difference is the method of doing so. Symmetra, on the other hand, had no way to consistently support her team through damage mitigation. That–on top of her typical “nesting” playstyle–made it extremely challenging for her to be successful in the support category. I don’t believe that it necessarily had much to do with her inability to heal, rather it had to do with her overall theme and play style diverging too far from a typical support.

Sadly, shooters are often given much left creative freedom than MOBA’s when it comes to supports. In MOBA’s, a support can provide crowd control and zoning abilities instead of healing. Overwatch is much more restrictive than a MOBA when it comes to creativity within its supports’ kits, but I don’t think that it makes it entirely impossible–as long as it maintains the same concept of damage mitigation.

If it was necessary, however, I think it would be nice to see a passive that healed allies over time affected by the hero’s barriers.

Unfortunately, we’re not the game developers for this game, so we can’t test anything like this out.

I would love to see a support that doesn’t heal, I just think that it has to be done correctly.
