What is there to nerf? She is a one shot character she is already all or nothing. Either she exists or doesn’t nothing really to nerf.

Except the tens of thousands of widow players? I dunno she doesn’t bother my I just kill her or use cover.
uhm yeah idk how people are still defending when she was already doing well last season being picked even more then reaper, and now is just too good thx to sombra getting gutted

If you are ever killed by a widow the problem lies in your map awareness or your team not pinging her. She needs no nerfs you just need to learn how to play against her better. Just play the strafe game and while it might seem like it helps protect you stop jumping to avoid her shots it just makes you more predictable

Personally I find the Hanzo one shot way more problematic at least widow is trying to do it, Hanzo just gets lucky. I’ll not understand the hatred of a hero you can simply ignore by using cover vs a hero that can kill you on accident as you walk around a corner cause they were firing random spam. Or Jesus how about hog and the impossible to miss hook and the fact he does nothing else. Of the all or nothing heros that exist (all are bad) widow is probably the least problematic.
She didn’t need em, she’s still as bad as always in 90% of matches
You need good map awareness against every character. The biggest difference is that they don’t one shot you when you peek around a corner for 0.001 seconds

Why do people keep saying this? do people forget that Widow dominates the best ranks these players don’t just players don’t just play better against widow. they play THE BEST against widow and they still can get their a$$ beat by one

Yet the literal best players on ladder and in the pro scene cannot “simply ignore” Widow “by using cover”… Please, enlighten us on how you are one of the few to transcend the skill of the best people and high ranked people for years with such a simple solution …

The buff to Sombra and Ball are nerfs to Widowmaker. Remember the biggest buff she got was when they nerfed Sombra. Therefore buffing her counters would qualify as a nerf.
All you need to do is have a bap with your own widow have your own widow get ready for her shot and bap lamp behind cover that way your own widow can head shot her and if she gets shot they wont die due to lamp. Ive done this a bunch and it just requires coordination more then anything else.
Oh so just mirror, and be litterally immortal. yeah cuz that’s definitely not a problem right?

I don’t even want Widow nerfed at this point lol
She is strong because she needs to be to punish certain lanes if you never change up your team comp to counter her shes just going to keep punishing you for that. Calling for nerfs every time never makes it any better because widow players will adapt to the nerfs and you will start complaining all over again. I mean look at sombra as an example sure she got a massive nerf but im starting to see her being played somewhat better as players ahve adjusted to her rework now. Nerfs never solve the problem they can often make it worse
I mean…yeah, Ball got buffed. I don’t know if he’s going to be any stronger in the current climate since you want a Tank that can do more than just harass one particular enemy.
Sombra got nerfed this patch, so 
i dunno, doesn’t seem like that’ll add much pressure.
but then the enemy team now has to deal with a Widowmaker. That doesn’t make it any better, that just now makes the game unfun for more people in the lobby.
And this is so much set-up for a chance to kill her. Using immortality field to simply set-up your own Widowmaker for a chance to kill her feels inherently bad. And as a support, I don’t want to have to keep using my abilities as a set-up for one character interaction to prevent a one-shot. I’d rather gut the one-shot. Bap’s cooldown on immortality is so long, I don’t want to have to waste it on a stupid Widow 1v1 to counter her.
Idk I disagree. Widow is a problem. She’ll always be a problem. She makes the game a sluggish, boring, insufferable mess when she’s strong and she’s a liability on your team when she’s not, and the grey area isn’t that significant here. One shots will inherently suck.
I disagree that Widow nerfs wouldn’t do anything. I think they could. If they actually do meaningful ones. But they’re not going to this season since Widow has a mythic.

Oh boy, another genius with another genius strategy that has evaded even the best players and this person has done it “a bunch of times”.
“Guys, be better than the best players in OW with this one simple trick: counter the character who can kill multiple people with a hitscan OHK in under 10 seconds…with a cooldown ability that’s more than double that. Surely the Widow cannot kill between the time it takes IF to come off cooldown, sure this is the best use of IF, so your own Widow can pop shots at the other one.”
Everybody’s so creative, why haven’t the best players in the game thought of this easy solution…
