This punishes hitting airshots, the most skilful part of Junks kit. Example:
Sorry but the Ana surviving that is nonsense. It’s punishing skilled players and destroys Junks skill ceiling.
150 damage up close is just ridiculous. Junk doesn’t need more up close power, he’s already a monster up close. He needs greater consistency in mid range.
These changes do the opposite of the intent. They drastically lower Junks skill floor because he’s now rewarded for holding m1 into tanks at close range and also obliterate his skill ceiling by punishing hitting airshots/mid range shots.
If these changes go live he’ll be brainless with no way to differentiate a skilled Junk from a bad Junk.
Nothing because I think he’s fine. But if we’re going to start buffing him there are better ways of doing it. Even tiny changes to his mine fall off would make a big difference in addressing his problem of consistency without removing his skill ceiling and making his close range ridiculous.
God no. I don’t feel like relearning muscle memory again.
What about changing the bounce physics of his grenades? Would that mess up some spots?
He’s never going to get a rip-tire speed buff as even 2m made him hard meta on certain maps back in early OWL. It just goes to show how some parts of his kit can easily be become broken with even just a small tweak.
Junkrat’s trap also eats his power budget up despite having no practical, consistent synergy with his kit like Mine and his primary does.
idk, he does need more consistency, maybe a new e-ability?
Well, here’s an idea shrink the size of his splash explosion radius, the further the projectile travels.
The way I view these things is that devs want to head in a certain direction. So instead of saying no, say “This is how you could do your idea better.”
I hate these changes.
Junkrat is my 5th most played heroes so Im absolutely not saying this is Junkrat hate.
Why would I ever go for skill shots? Look how ridiculously low that RANGE is.
His up close spam damage is laughably broken and skill shots meaningless now.
