No Skill > Skill? Why?

Why is it that no/low skill heroes completely beat out higher skilled heroes? Shouldn’t it be the other way around? If on D.Va I can eat gravs and dragons and save my team, shouldn’t that mean my team should be winning against a Hanzo comp? Why am I losing to heroes that do not require that much skill and losing tons of SR because of it?

Because it’s a team game and it’s not just about you.

I had team. I saved them from grav and dragon twice. We lost to a sniper in the front line

Yeah, you did something, the rest of your team didn’t. That’s why you lost. If you want to rely only on your own personal skill, play deathmatch. Otherwise depending on your teams SR and your enemies, it might be impossible to carry a bad team.

It’s not like GM tracers are going to lose a 1v1 against a bronze tracer. There is still skill involved with any hero. It’s just not necessarily mechanical skill.

I had a team. They were destroyed by a sniper in the front line. If the sniper was in a sniper spot, then I wouldn’t be mad. But they were playing like a dps. That’s not how a sniper is supposed to work at all

No but a GM Sym can easily take out that GM Tracer

You’ve clearly never seen a GM tracer vs a GM sym. Tracer would run circles around sym, just like she does with winston or reaper. The only chance symmetra would have is to sit in a turreted room all game.

A bronze sym might beat a bronze tracer though.

If your team lost to a Widow who was front lining… and if you mean Hanzo then say hanzo because he can sniper but I consider him a frontline DPS atm.

Also false in most cases a GM Tracer will easily beat the Sym when based of mechanics
However if the Sym wins that’s because they are thinking ahead of the tracer who havw extremley good game sense…both of which are skills in themselves

All heroes require skill. Some more than others. There is a cost/benefit. High skill for high payoff. Soldier cannot 2 or 3 shot you. McCree, Hanzo and Widow can.

It sounds horrible to say this, but it’s literally a case of “git gud” on whatever skillful hero you’re maining and losing SR on.

Actually I have seen it happen multiple times

Sym doesn’t have to think ahead to hold m1 and run towards the tracer when she recalls in the wrong spot

There are so many things wrong with this. Very few high skill heroes have high payoffs. Mccree can only one shot you in close range and Hanzo is not high skill. Widow is a sniper and plays like a sniper, which is very good. “Git gud” means nothing to me and my 600+ hours on D.Va when I do all I can to win and still lose to bs heroes

This is to rich.
The fact you think Sym is easier than Tracer in GM

Where did I say easier? I said no skill and I’ve been in GM for the past 3 seasons. I’ve seen so many tracers get taken out by sym’s even when they’re good

For people like you I’ve learned you saying no skill is equivalent to saying a hero is easier than another

For people like you’ve I’ve learned you’re not at a high enough skill level to understand what “no skill” means, so let me explain it to you. Sym = no skill because she can run at you holding m1 and melt you with a beam that goes almost 90 degrees in any direction with a long range. Hanzo = no skill because he has huge damage output for literally no reason and can melt tanks with body shots and giant projectile hitboxes. Brigitte = low skill because she can just hold m1 and constantly heal herself and stun you every 6 seconds with no way to counter it. Maybe learn what no skill means before saying changing the word for yourself?

Somebody get this man a pacifier.

Ahhh

Good ol’ Rank shamers

Since you’ve clearly got no real argument to your base post you jump to saying hiw someone else doesn’t understand since they are beneath you.

You may be GM for most of you comp time but that really doesn’t mean jack squat

I’m sure plenty of people would listen to the advice/etc. from someone whos been from bronze to Masters all while playing 1 hero and getting better constantly than someone who has always been at the high ranks and has little knowlege of what heros are like to play against in lower levels.

Sym isn’t no skill
Sure her method of aimimg may be but she is very vunerable to multiple other heros in the game(Some who GASP also don’t have to aim)
If she’s sooooo good against tracer then why the hell aren’t you swapping to someone who is strong against her… I mean it can’t be THAT hard can it!?

A GM calling Brigette skillless
Wrong she may have a low skill floor compared to other heros but she actually has a decently high skill ceiling. If you can’t counter her that’s on you not the hero

I get it now
This guys upset because he can’t abuse Dive anymore to stay at a rank he doesn’t belong

Knew OP prob didn’t know what he was talking about when he made the Symm VS Tracer argument.

7.5M range on Primary vs one of the most mobile char in the entire game. I couldn’t see this happening unless the Tracer player had a heart attack mid-duel and blinked directly into the Symm.

We’re currently in the middle of the meta known as “Sniperwatch”, which takes advantage of two high skill ceiling heroes as DPS.

How? I can’t see how it’s possible for a tracer to lose to symmetra in a 1v1. Back in dive meta tracers would run circles around a winston, and he’s a much tougher target than sym.

Maybe if tracer has burned all her blinks and recalls into a bad spot, but anybody can kill her then.

I would use my own stories, but I honestly can’t remember the last time I saw either a tracer or a symmetra in competitive.
