Aiming is not the entierety of skill. Characters that doesn’t require as much aiming are not “no-skill” characters as they have utilitary abilities that need to be tought about.
There is no such thing as no skill or too easy characters, because if yes, they would have the highest win rate of the game without much effort.
Certain characters can have different values at different elo, that doesn’t make them no skill.

When people complain about me playing Symmetra as a brain-dead hero and dominating and then I visit the forum and see all these Symmetra being underwhelming or trash… Something doesn’t add up here

low elo players (me included) typically feed their brains out regardless of who they play. as long as you aren’t suicidal brig plays herself.

Maybe you should try to use her to get to a high elo, and when you can not, maybe that will teach you a thing on how much she “plays herself”.

brig isn’t good on console low elo generally speaking since you wont ever get healed by ur second support and dive is unpopular in low elo.

So, what you are saying is “she requires a lot of skill in low elo since you have to make up for the fact she doesn’t get healing from the other support, and the comps are not suited to her play?”
How does that fit in to “she plays herself?”
You CAN climb out of low ELO with Brig, but you have to do a lot better than stand in the back, and just exist.
You can’t rely on her “just playing herself” because you can’t get enough value out of her if you do.
Therefore she doesn’t “just playing herself” competitively.
