Title says it all. For those who buy the Battle Pass first with coins, then the bundle which includes the Battle Pass as part of it, you don’t get any discount or coins back so you basically lose 1000 coins for no good reason other than being misinformed.
I had a look around and this has been an issue for the past season as well.
Will devs please fix this or acknowledge this shouldn’t be the case? There is no information on the shop or the bundle detailing that already owning the BP won’t do anything if you purchase the bundle.

It clearly shows you that the price of the ultimate battle pass bundle is not discounted if you have the BP already.
You purchasing it at the price shown means you’re willing to pay the price shown.
Why would you expect a discount that isn’t shown at the time of purchase?
I’ll agree that it should be discounted if you already own the BP but seeing that it is not, and purchasing it with the assumption that you’ll get a discount, well that’s kind of on you

Thanks for the reply. I haven’t actually purchased it yet but was intending to. The full price is why I’m not purchasing it yet. I’ve seen people that have and are having this issue since last season hence the wording.
I feel a simple fix would’ve been to just remove the BP from the bundle and make it 3000 coins since the lower bundle gives 1000 coins instead of the BP.

Yeah definitely don’t purchase it if you already have the BP, as you said it’s not worth it without a discount for the BP
it’s dumb, other bundles in the shop are discounted to account for things you already own, I don’t know why this isn’t.

Because this greasy company will do anything for a dollar. It took them weeks until the damage was done for them to properly color-code Season 3’s premium vs non-premium currency which tricked a surprising amount of consumers.

Wait until the end of the season. It’ll go on discount then you can bank the tiers for season 5.

I don’t think you can bank tiers from one season to the next, but I could be wrong
I got well over tier 80 in the S1 and started from square one in the S2 BP.

NGL should’ve bought the bundle before you decided to buy the BP. I got the BP through the bundle due to that soldier 76 skin being absolute fire.

Yes you can. I bought the Ultimate BP Bundle for Season 3, TODAY - before the launch of Season 4 (for the Sig skin) and I started at level 21. If you are at the PRESTIGE TIERS, the extra 20 tiers go to next season. Wish I took a screenshot.

They got me for the season 3 dark pattern exploit. Overwatch credits and Overwatch coins both were yellow and had similar icons: one had an ‘=’ circumscribed by a hexagonal shape, and another circumscribed the ‘=’ with a horseshoe rotated horizontally.
And the consumer will do the minimal amount of due diligence because the faster you bought the BP, the faster you could earn currency to maybe buy an overpriced skin off the shop.
It has been fixed for a while now with proper color-coding, but I actually felt scammed, and I have enjoyed Blizzard games for over 15 years… Even if I bought a game I didn’t like from Blizzard, I never felt scammed until then

Also are you sure that was because they carried over? I thought the ultimate bundle included 20 tiers… EDIT - I just opened the game and checked the shop and the ultimate bundle does indeed include 20 tier skips so that’s why you started at 21. Not because of a carryover from S3.

Only reason I bought it first was because I naturally figured there would be a proper discount or re-imbursement like any other shop bundle. I do agree about the soldier skin hence why I’m so adamant about getting some kind of fix.

Prestige tiers are the ones after 80. You can’t normally skip them unless you get tier skips in a bundle like the Ultimate BP, so they get banked for the next season.

I bought the Season 3 Ultimate Bundle today because it was $22.49. Literally only reason I got it was because I wanted that Sig skin, it was on sale, and I basically traded $20 real dollars for $20 OW2 currency - the extra $2.49 went to the skin I wanted and the 20 tier skips for Season 4. I’m already on level 30 of Season 4 because of this.
Though I made the mistake of buying Season 4 BP with COINS - so I plan to get the Ultimate Season 4 Bundle at the end again if it’s on sale and once I’m past level 80 I’ll bank the 20 tier skips for Season 5.

Ye, that’s the plan for now. Sucks I gotta wait like 60 days unless a dev can respond and see to it they fix it. But for now I’ll just think of it like any other rotating shop skin to cope ;-;

I had already spent $22.49, and ashamedly also spent the $9.99 for the Season 3 Starter Pack (Honey Bee Mercy)… so I didn’t want to spend another $30 IRL money. I had 10,169 OW2 coins so I used 1000 to get Season 4.
I ASSUME the Ultimate BP Bundle will go on discount at the end. Hasn’t that been the trend the past couple seasons?

I can only recall last season’s and there was an Easter sale so I’m hoping it’s not because of that. Naturally the BP would lose value towards the end of a season so I’m hoping it will happen but still, people who do the same thing like us shouldn’t have to spend more or wait because of this.
