Metro said this on stream and tbh not sure how I feel about it. Some here might be happy because they feel it lower match quality. But doesn’t it help with queue times? The devs must be really confident that queue times in OW2 will be better. Or maybe the BP challenges will get people to flex anyway so the priority pass thing felt redundant.
There were priority passes in the beta.
I guess them existing in the beta doesn’t mean they will still be there in the real game though…
Priority passes should have been adjusted to be more valuable. If there were less in circulation they would actually serve their purpose outside of creating a new bench mark.
As for them leaving… I have no idea. Blizzard is CONFIDENT queues will not be an issue, I suppose. Where they found it? No clue. Seems like some Thrift Store Drip to me.
I think that’s probably a good thing though. People would shame others based on their level border or rank and it just brings unnecessary toxicity.
I mean that rarely happens lol. It will probably be more rare with more players.
It is not a good thing, but the mmr system already puts dead weight to carry regardless. I do not really care about their icon. A useless gold Mercy is not that much different from a useless master Mercy.
idk nothing has ever made sense after they started talking about how OW2 is now 5v5 PvP, instead of just PvE
Not sure if I understand the reasoning behind removing priority passes if that’s true. Maybe they think the daily 3 flex game challenge is enough, but people might not care about that anymore after level 80. We won’t know for sure what queue times are going to be until the game goes live - I’m sure it’ll be fine with Kiriko, but it’s going to be an issue on the next tank/DPS hero.
That aged quickly. I’ve just noticed the passes have gone. Must suck to be a tank or dps main, which is like 90% of the player base it seems. What on earth are they smoking at Blizz HQ.
QP queue times for me are always less than 3 minutes. Even though it sometimes says 6 minutes for tank it’s almost never that long.
