I got my email saying I was in about 30 mins ago. I followed the instructions but there is now OW2 in the drop down menu.

I have the same issue, was about to post about it but will just piggy back on yours 
I checked all 3 regions and restarted my client

I changed launcher to the Beta - as well as logging out and logging back in - no change yet …

Yep. I’m in that boat too. Received email, but nothing new on my launcher. Have tried “check for updates” several times, but my version number has not turned over to 2.0.etc…
EDIT: Logged out, logged back in. Downloading now. This feels like the longest download of my life lol

Lucky! Mine still hasn’t popped up, it’s driving me insane
At this point, that means it’s not related to the authenication crash earlier, so it should refresh any time I would think!

Anything else other than relogging?
Having the same issue, tried logging, uninstalling and reinstalling the launcher, nothing yet. Got my hopes so high, and then crushed. The Blizzard classic, I think.
Same here. Been about 2 hours now. Still no drop down after refreshing a couple times.
I am now downloading after nearly 4 hours of waiting for it to appear
Update:
Contacted Blizzard Support on live chat. They had a look into it, “killed the cache on the account backend” for my account and it showed up finally! Maybe get in touch with Blizzard support if you are still having issues!
Try clearing your cache data on BattleNet:
From the other post
- swap region to asia
- launch OW 1
- exit OW 1
- log out / exit launcher
- log back in
- swap region back to Americas
