I’ve been starting to have panic attacks throughout the day whenever the thought of meme trash “welp gg” tier current mercy happens to cross my mind. It’s really gotten bad. To make matters worse mercy didn’t even get a healing buff today…
I try to be a good happy consumer and give blizzard the benefit of the doubt. I say to myself and others “Hey guys, overwatch 2 is a great upgrade to the original game and we are lucky to have such skilled and passionate developers.”
Even when I get flamed and assaulted verbally and physically for it I still defend blizzard. I’ve held on to hope that blizzard will surely have mercy on trash tier mercy and buff her any day now. Surely even an emergency mid week buff to her healing is called for at this point… right…? Surely….
WRONG. MERCY FEELS SO BAD TO PLAY RIGHT NOW AND HER HEALING OUTPUT JUST ISNT THERE. ITS NOT EVEN FUN ANYMORE BC WE ARE STUCK PLAYING BEHIND TANK HEALBOTTING THE ENTIRE TIME WHILE HE CONTINUES TO GET MELTED. WE CANT EVEN DAMAGE BOOST BC OUR TEAM IS NEVER HEALED UP BC HER HEALING IS SO BAD NOW… WE HAD ONE THING THAT HELPED MERCY BE RELEVANT (DMG BOOST). WE HAVE NO BURST POTENTIAL WHATSOEVER WITH OUR HEALING SO WE ARE STUCK DRIBBLING UP THE DPS HP AS SLOW AS JOE BIDEN WALKS DOWN A SLIGHTLY ANGLED RAMP. WE CANT EVEN HEAL THROUGH THE DAMAGE OF 1 ENEMY DPS SHOOTING 20% ACCURACY.
DIVE COMP? Might AS WELL AFK SPAM SOMETIMES IM NOT SURE WHY I EVEN BOTHER OVER AND OVER IN MID AND LET THEM END QUICKER. YOU CAN BE 100% THAT DIVE COMP WILL WALK MELT THROUGH YOUR HEAL POCKETED SOLDIER WALK RIGHT THROUGH AND KILL YOU BC YOU COULDNT KEEP DPS ALIVE.
I AM ——DONE—— BLIZZARD IVE HAD IT UP TO HERE WITH YOU AND THESE SEASON 9 SHENANIGANS. BUFF MERCY RIGHT NOW OR ELSE ILL PROBABLY NOT EVEN PLAY THE GAME AT ALL TOMORROW OR SOMETHING EVEN FAR WORSE.

Mercy is definitely one of those characters that is hard to buff without breaking her balance.
They’re probably still waiting to see how she fairs after the the 20 to 15% change.
She’s not the worst-but she’s definitely not a good pick for this meta. You can make her work but it’s far from enjoyable.

Why are you healbotting the tank? Go damage boost your dps, play around cover, use GA to reposition yourself. It’s not that hard. Mercy isn’t in an ideal position currently but it doesn’t mean she’s unplayable.
But if you’re healbotting your tank and only your tank, you’re playing the hero wrong since you should be supporting your dps and letting your other support heal the tank.

She doesn’t need one.
Though if she gives up super jump she can have something in return for it. I swear most people have it macro’d to get the max height.

Is she still enjoyable for me? 
Do I win games playing with her? 
Is her gameplay loop relatively the same?
Sure it’s less effective, but it’s better than being a hero everyone forgets about, they buff you - you do decently but they hit you with a nerfbat a couple days later.

why would even buff one of the best supports in the game?
People already complain about her and personally attack people just because they play her, do you really want to make that worse?
