Unless you just hopped of a time machine from three months ago, you’re being trolled or your teammates are sick of watching Hanzo dominate the meta so they want you to switch.

Meta is an almost universal gaming term that means: Most Effective Tactic Available. In application, meta means different things for different games. In yugioh, the best cards and decks are the meta. In overwatch, some heroes and team compositions are meta, which means that they are good right now; and some are not meta, which means that they are less effective. This means that meta can change, and that meta is a very versatile concept. This is a gross simplification btw.

Okay, thanks for the explanation I think I follow. So if hanzo is meta why do people ask me to play soldier bastion and torb? is there a different meta in bronze for example?
