No compatible graphics hardware was found. (0xE0070100)

every time I go to open Overwatch 2 I get hit with the error code 0xE0070100. The only temporary fixes I’ve found so far is to have a freshly installed graphics driver(the same driver doesn’t work the next day unless uninstalled then reinstalled) or unplugging my monitor, plugging it back in and then opening. is there any permanent fix that doesn’t make me buy a new gpu? I currently own a AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.

When you reinstall, are you using Display Driver Uninstaller? Otherwise driver remnants from a previous corrupted version will likely remain on the system.

I have done fresh installs before

Fresh install through the driver software or with DDU? They are different things.

didnt think they’d be different, will give the DDU a try!

Hello there friend !
I’ve been encoutering the same problems, same error.
Since there was no topics for the issue, i went to ask via contact and all they did was making me uninstall the game and Battle.Net, but that didnt solve the problem.

But with your advice, I just unplug-replug my monitor and i have been able to launch the game again.

Please, fix this stupid bug that doesnt make sense …

Just a heads up.

I get this same issue when my Display port splitter resets. So I have to pull everything out and plug in the master screen then replug in the other two split screens.

I’ve found a permanent solution!!! I don’t if its a universal fix but I learned that my monitor actually has its own divers. just went to google and typed “msi monitor drivers” found my monitor and its working perfectly. Didn’t know that monitors had their own divers like that. It’s just so odd that overwatch is the only thing i’ve had problems with.
