Next patch predictions?

For me, I’m assuming mcree will certainly get nerfed.
I think bap has a high chance of getting nerfed too, maybe 80% chance?
Rein will probably get nerfed also. I’m assuming 80% chance also.

They’re probably going to buff orisa again. And there’s a very high chance they’ll buff moira too.

That’s all I can think of, thoughts?

Probably a McCree nerf, and Rein/Zarya nerfs because they are largely tone deaf on the idea of fixing queue times besides Rein buffs.

The REAL developer notes:

“While going through our secret OWL discord, we have noticed a up-roar from the hitscan players wanting mccree to be buffed… so we have increased his health from 200 to 250 and decreased his fire-rate to 0.25. Hopefully this should make OWL exciting.”

Rein damage down to 80 per swing, FTH down to 276, Bap’s healing down to 55 per nade.

I could see all that happening, but 276 seems like an… odd number…? don’t you think? (I mean, i might be wrong because they did that for genji, but I feel like he’ll get more than 4 dmg lost on fth…)

It’s 46 per bullet, just to get it over 275 mark.

I’ve been wondering about this. Was it the Rein changes that helped queue times or did they do something under the hood? I’ve been noticing that the SR range that players in my games are at have seemingly become wider. I saw a silver on one team and a GM on the other for instance one game. It feels like something changed there, at least in QP, but I can’t say for certain.

That’s a pretty pathetic nerf if you ask me. That would change… literally nothing.
Surely they’d make it at least 45…

Also the extra damage helps attract more DPS players, or at least get Tank players to actually enjoy playing Rein, instead of going DoubleOffTank.

    • Resets cooldown when landing a whipshot
    • No stun
  • Whipshot
    • Very small knockback
    • Flips the enemy’s camera angle the direction that Brig is facing (I.e. Usually 180 degrees behind)
    • Sideways mouse movement is disabled for 0.3sec.
  • RepairPack
    • Does not go through enemy barriers, cannot target friendlies through enemy barriers. Heal over time disabled when line of sight is broken by an enemy barrier.

Bap

  • ImmoField
    • 0.8sec cast time, 0.2sec deploy time
      • Cannot be bypassed by throwing down
    • 50% damage reduction
    • 15sec cooldown

McCree

  • 4sec cooldown on FanTheHammer

Hanzo

  • StormArrows reduced to 3
  • Storm Arrow projectile speed increase to 130m/s

Lucio

  • Less knockback on Boop, but his movement speed adds to the knockback strength
  • Default knockback at 50% of current
  • Maximum boosted knockback up to 150% of current

It’s a nerf from 300 to 276, I’m fine with that. Nothing wrong with small nerfs, I don’t think there’s anything singularly busted in the game right now.

I really love those ideas!!
But need to be more specific with brig and bap.

I thought you said this game needs massive changes not long ago

I said we needed nerfs to like half the roster in damage outputs, the only massive one was to Bap’s lamp which I favour a rework of sorts.

Blizz decided to power creep tanks up instead so I don’t care anymore. Yeah power creep them up… You go Blizz. Can’t wait for Winston to get his damage buff too.

I guess that could help with tank q times.

In order to make a considerable difference (i.e. changing breakpoints) and not just reducing overall damage done to tanks, you have to nerf it to about 42 damage, at which point it becomes kind of useless. 45 damage FTH will still kill 200 and 250HP heroes in the same number of shots.

Fine, guess I’ll work that creativity muscle.
