We know Hammond is coming. So theres the possibility of never seen before triple tank dive as we never had 3 dive tanks before.
Sombra getting infinite invisi and tl buff would help her fit more on to a dive comp where she can kinda scout the area and wait for the 3 dive tanks to jump in providing them reliable info on hero positioning and her EMP would probably seal the deal and help 3 dive tanks finish things off.
With mercy nerfs and hitscan buffs and hammond also being hitscan, Pharmercy will kinda go down hard and you probaby wont even need a dps hitscan to take out pharah pocketed by mercy, you could just as easily do it with hammond and D.Va alone perhaps.
If dive comes tracer and reaper will also somewhat find their place back in the viable heroes list.
Brigitte hanzo and widow all getting small nerfs, so dive would have somewhat help.
Dive would be nice, yes. I never understood why people disliked dive to begin with. It’s a strat that requires a lot of team coordination. Sure, it was boring to watch the same team comps every OWL match, but it’s not that much different now.
They haven’t really stopped Hanzo, so Grav/dragons still a possibility, which means Hanzo + Zarya
If grav/dragons IS still going on, that also means Zen to counter it. Mercy probably still gonna be healing beside him, because nobodies givng up resurrect anytime soon.
The 5th slot would be Hammond, because he’s new and people will want to play him.
Grav/Dragons is not an issue outside of boosted.
The combo has existed since the game came out and no one complained about it.
With the boosting gone, I don’t think it will be meta anymore.
Still think it will turn into dive tank again with
Dva
Winston
Hammond
Mercy or Moira
Zen discording the tanks is going to be important
Hopefully Reaper =)
It won’t work in lower ranks well as Hammond requires a certain finesse to swing proper which low ranks won’t be able to do.
Or…grav/dragon is here to stay due to people being stupid.
I think Pharmercy will still work fine if you run it with a dive comp. Those two can easily move along with the dive tanks (at a safe distance) and take to the skies as soon as the dive tanks jump on the enemy hitscan. It’s not going to be any less safe than playing against a Widowmaker in the current meta. On vertical maps you already want to take Mercy along with the dive comp anyway, because she’s the healer with the best vertical mobility.
With less snipers around, I think Junkrat will rise again. And there’s a definite possibility that Doomfist and Mei leave a significant mark on the meta for King of the Hill maps in particular.
I think Mei will be more viable because falloff will go away, and because she counters D.va, Hammond and Winston. She will be a C-tier probably, but to be a B-tier she needs a fix to the cryofreeze lag that favors the shooter and to the drone that disappears in mid-air when she dies/gets stunned
You don’t have idea of how many times i’ve got upset for this.
BTW with the buff of McCree, S76 and Mei, Pharah is doomed. Even more with Mercy’s nerf.
Also with the buff of Lucio, disrupt dive (a dive with Hammond) could be the new meta
