Newish to pc, need help with replay

Why is saving highlights 60fps max?
I have a 4070ti gpu so i dont think its my system

Saved highlights are videos, not rendered in game.

About all you can do is 30 or 60. You could go into replays from your game history and record that in a higher FPS, using OBS or something like it.

Even though, I think OBS caps at 60 as well, but you’d capture your entire round, unless you want a specific clip.

The new save video system is garbage. Just use the nvidia software to save on a replay or highlight. It looks way better/smoother than whatever they’ve done to the in-game save function (which was fine in OW1).

that’s the limitations of the save feature unfortunately

sometimes it’ll completely screw up the resolution too. i also play on a widescreen monitor and it can only save all my footage as 16:9 and really blurry for some reason

you’re better off just using the nvidia replay feature or any other recording software to save plays

Because videos and games are not the same ting.
A video doesn’t benefit from higher fps in the same way games does unless you are capturing in slow motion.

In NTSC regions the standard for video is 30 and 60 fps (based on the frequency of the power grid)
In PAL regions the standard is 25 and 50 fps
For movies recorded on film the standard is 24 fps

If you want to save clips in game use something like OBS or GForece experiences instant replay feature (I use this) set it to something like 3 mins and it will be recording on loop and you can clip your last 3 mins of gameplay then you can trim them down as a video file (sounds harder to do than it is) you can probably fine a good tutorial online and its not very demanding on your PC I have a 3060 so whatever equivalent you want to use you could probably run easy

OBS caps at 120 fps.

Alright, thanks for the help everyone :slightly_smiling_face:
