New Triage Concept

I’m sure y’all remember season 3 Mercy’s triage healing for allies under 50% health.

Since that proved to be too strong, the devs show little interest in trying the same approach with power numbers.

What if Mercy had a healing increase based on the target’s lost hp.

And to further balance this, the effect would be halved on tanks so it doesn’t cause problems with their huge health pools.

  • Now healing is increased by an additional 10% of the target’s lost health

I always felt like Mercy should have been 50 at base and 60 below half. After season 9 though, something stronger is needed.

As for your suggestion I’d imagine it would be less messy if it were based on the % of health missing rather than a flat amount. It could work, but they’re not going to give Mercy up to 75 healing on squishies or 90 on tanks (even with half scaling).

Considering we have the DPS passive at 20%, the numbers wouldn’t really be all that crazy tbh.

She had up to 90hp/s in season 3 too, but we didn’t have the dps passive back then, so it was definitely too high.

Considering the DPS passive is pretty much always active, these 75hp/s and 90hp/s will realistically be at 60hp/s and 72hp/s instead.

Not to mention that’s only when they are pretty much on the brink of death.

Additionally, since the healing is based on lost hp and not max, the numbers will usually not be as high as their maximum capacity allows them to be.

Id also like to see small buffs to her GA, maybe a small window of cc immunity, and the bugs that keep making mercy get stuck on environment needs addressing asap too. :confused:
