New Tank Passive

You know what they did with tanks and Ana sleep dart? Sleep dart lasts 6 seconds but on tanks it lasts 3? They need to give tanks a passive that gives them that sort of resistance to ALL cc and debuffs. Honestly it’s only fair considering both dps and supports just got passive buffs and tank did not (tank does not benefit from healing passive at all, besides ball), and we all know tank is hurting right now.

New Tank Passive: All CC and debuff abilities are 50% less effective on you.

Discord dmg percentage cut in half, anti nade duration cut in half, hack duration cut in half, sym turret slow reduced by half, junk trap duration cut in half, dps passive only 10% on tanks, Mei slow reduced by half, stun duration cut in half, cass nade slow and ability lockout cut in half dmg still same.

Someone else actually suggested this to me and I thought it was such a good idea and could be everything tanks need. Surely it would make some tanks too strong, but they can just nerf them if so. Just imagine how much this would change up the dynamic of the game. They might not be the sole ability magnet anymore and players would have to use them on other targets for maximum value which requires more skill. Bad players can’t get super high value anymore for throwing all their abilities at the giant slow target. It could also help alleviate rock paper scissors tanking.

I like this a lot and its pretty similar to an idea Flats had a while back, only people who wont like it are the ones who spam abilities on tanks imo

Do you perhaps remember the video he talks about it? I’m curious what he says.

That’s what I was hoping the original tank passive would be: 30% reduction to crowd control, knockback, and status effects.
