Just wondering when we’re going to get new story missions? Is this going to be every other season or is this at random?

Definitely not every other season. Im hoping for season 10, but honestly who knows. I think they’ve made it pretty clear that the story missions aren’t a very big priority for them right now.
Random, Team 4 developers are overworked and PvE isn’t the focus. We could see the next PvE mission set in a year or 6 years. It’s more likely they’ll add a new PvE event than continue Invasion storyline anytime soon. I still haven’t seen Archives missions return but maybe I missed them.
Considering they told us about the new support that’s several heroes down the road. I’d say PvE is sometime after that.
I’m wondering myself since I’m a big lore story fan. Although maybe I rather have a Netflix series. Better if in the Pixar style

I’m pretty sure they said they were trying to release the hero mastery/obstacle course thing every other season.
New story won’t be until sometime in 2024.
Voice acting takes time and money. The company is in the middle of a transition with Microsoft.
Blizzard is sitting on a lot of money for animated series with Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, and Overwatch. The live action Warcraft movie wasn’t bad at all, kind of sad to see no sequel yet 7 years later.
PvE was a colossal failure and its dead and been dead for a while. Would not be surprised to see future campaigns cancelled, but who knows maybe they’ll push out 1 or 2 more before that happens.
And there for this game isn’t big on my list because I’m here to buy the latest skins. I wanted a game and there other games that are live service but actually sells me something I can keep as long as I have the game itself, In fact I’m looking into games where I can recreate OW characters or if there’s OW mods for other games out there.
If blizzard wants to make it seem like they care about PvE, they could do something in season 9 at the earliest.
