So they changed Stadium draft methods unannounced, again. But it looks fine.
No more snake pick order. A person on each team pick simultaneously and picks aren’t revealed until both have picked.
Tanks always pick last. No more awkward swap requests.
Pick time seems a bit faster. Less rounds (5 v 6).
And this probably means “no mirror” isn’t returning any time soon. Which is good.

They kind of shadow announced it in the last patch notes. They had accidentally included it in the patch notes but took it out after a bit when people started asking about it lol
Missed that. Still surprised they’re doing unannounced system changes after the no mirror and Bo5 fiascos. Figured they’d be more careful about announcing system changes in the future.
Old habits die hard. 
Im glad they reworked the Draft process. It always felt a bit awkward. Cant wait to try it out myself

Bet they thought no mirror was a common sense change too. 
I just want there to be a shorter timer. So many people take the full 20 seconds to pick even though they’d already set a preferred pick. It takes a full minute and 40 if everyone lets the timer run out.
Its better, but at this point its totally useless, we would be better using the QP hero select and be done quickly
I still think they are building systems to eventually support an esport. As draft systems are common for MOBA esports, they’re trying to shoehorn one in.

There’s already tournament play out there for Stadium. You think Blizzard will allow that to continue with making it official and shutting down the independent tournament scene?
Probably not given the precedent. I am mostly joking, they take Stadium balance more seriously than the base game, it is inevitable.
If the Devs are changing up the Draft process for the Gamer Pros, I am all for it!
