Is there any way to reduce the strength of the rumble? Even on the weak controller vibration option on PS5 it’s super annoying with the controller shaking in your grip like that. Not to mention adding it to attacks like Zen’s discord, which is annoying and distracting
Better yet, is there a way to disable it altogether on OW? I can’t find any toggle options in the options menu. It’s super distracting having it go every few moments. Even when I’m not actively engaging or being engaged, just being near people seems to be triggering it.
A complete unnecessary waste of resources, given all the things that are problematic with this game.
If u guys are talking about vibrations u can get rid of it.
If u go to options - all heros (or whatever hero u want) - click the “advanced” for the sensitivity settings - towards the bottom should be a “vibration” button to turn it on or off
Hope this helps if thats what yall r talking abt
Issue is that I don’t want it turned off; I want it to how it was before this patch.
I’m getting random vibrations from nothing when I’m walking out of spawn, and other random things. It’s distracting and seems to not implemented correctly.
PLEASE make this new stuff optional/opt-in. It was fine before, so why change what ain’t broken.
oh sorry i didnt know it was acting up. imo i dont really like vibrations and never really have but i can understand ppl using it.
Just go to your controller settings on the console and turn all these haptic feedback options off. They’re great for immersion in single player games, but are a hindrance in competitive games.
Mine are off, and it is still randomly vibrating for no reason or for pointless reasons.
You can turn it off in console settings.
Are they off on your console too?
Yes. That was what I was saying it was off on for a reply. Sorry, I should have specified.
The game shouldn’t be able to over ride that. Idk look some stuff up and… turn it off and back on…?
rumble plus slippery *** PS5 controller is a losing combination.
even with rumble off you’ll likely lose often. PS5 should’ve shipped with PS edge.
the entire reason that astro is acknowledging that sony blocked their controller is bc it doesn’t have these useless features to begin with. fascinating. jealous bitterness of sony confirmed. astro controller blocked by sony out of eruption of bitterness: imgur.com/a/niK6t5v
sony to astro: your controller doesn’t utilize useless rumble gimmicks that we implemented to attempt to artificially manufacture justification to artificially block you from PS5 games. this way, we clear a path for zero competition and then copy you in concept and pricing with our release of PS edge. thanks for the inspiration astro - sony executive office.
What I did was disable adaptive triggers on the dualsense menu (which will disable for every game you play) and reduce vibration to minimun, that way I can still fell some rumble but not too hard.
Theres also a option to disable adaptive triggers on Ow advanced control menu as well.
See this is why you buy an off brand controller that can’t even vibrate to begin with💀
I was just about to post about this. After the update both versions PS4/PS5 vibration is busted. I can feel the vibration of my teammates AND enemies when something happens to absolutely anybody in the game. It also happens when I’m dead or in spawn. And I have nerve issues in my hands and THIS is flaring it up like crazy. I feel like the controller is also slipping from me from the intensity and it’s just completely busted for everybody at this point… it’s certainly unplayable for me. FIX IT PLEASE.
I want it to get reverted to how it was in season 6
Yeah, I felt my teams Orisa’s javelin spin right next to me. And it was unbearable. Had to let go of the controller. They really need to fix that and add a vibration meter so we can adjust as well as an option to turn off ally vibrations off.
I hope there is a way to disable it. I am not a fan of that feature either.
It’s not good. I’ve turned off vibrations for now but after 7 years of overwatch it just feels so wrong (although way preferable to the constant shaking of my controller for seemingly no reason) . I sincerely hope they revert this or at least offer options.
Must be a PS thing. Because I use a xbone controller, and I completely turned off rumble when my last controller was getting old enough to disconnect after so many rumbles lol (because wired)
