New Red name tags

Is it possible to have an option to turn it off all together? I find it really distracting when I try to look at stats or a quick look at names seeing all the flashy name tags.

Soon, everyone, everyone will have distracting nametags! And when everyone has distracting nametags… no one will.

Yea just another piece of flare that means nothing. Never ceases to amaze me how some people put stock into things that don’t actually exist.

Why make skins when can get away with low effort stuff like banners and titles?

How much money is this game even making if they can’t afford to put more effort in anything?

I’m a fan of them solely because they match my oni themed banner lol.

Imagine typing this out and hitting post unironically…

OW2 releases more new skins at a faster pace than OW1 ever did and you’re complaining about a new competitive reward LOL

Must be exhausting having to find a way to negatively spin every new thing that OW does

Ofc. All of which paid content. Do you really expect ppl to pay for banners?

Cuz skins make more money. Also blizz has pumped out a lot of skins in ow2.

Yeah alot of effort in most of the reworked skins with just 1 different colour. Or the Mythic skins that have 3 different type of… colour.

I meant skins that are obtainable with gameplay if that wasn’t clear.
if the game is doing so well, why so stingy with the free content?

Ah, yea we can’t earn much for free. Good ol free to play games these days. Also I don’t really think there is much of a correlation between a game doing well or not with free skins or not. But with how many shop skins people are always running around with, they prob have little incentive to give many skins for free. Ow2 new skins anyways. Since many ppl can be buying old ow1 skins with the free credits.

I won´t.

the dude who got ui design in ow2 still hasnt completed that 5$ udemy course, keeps making ugly rectangles.

They pump out alot of skins. Just not to more hero’s you know.

Because OW2 is a Dress-Up Skin Shop … Can play Dress-Up without expensive skins!

Even if you delete all recolors, OW2 still consistently releases more brand new legendary skins than OW1 ever did. No one is forcing you to buy recolors.

And Mythic skins literally have tons of effort poured into them in the VFX, SFX, weapons, unique highlight intros, unique voicelines, customizability, etc. and pretending they are low effort is laughable and no one is taking you seriously

What kind of argument is this? “If the game is doing well why do they keep the monetization the same it’s been for over a year” um probs because the game IS doing well so why would they change it…lol

You clearly missed Flats talking about how much money skins are making them in OW2 lol

My understanding is that the new tags are only around while the Drive event is active.

Majority are recolours. My favourites are the recolours of epic skins from OW1 that are classed as legendaries so they can place them in bundles for a ‘discount’ that still places them at a higher coin value than an epic, on average.

You get them during the event, you have them until the next drive event at the end of the next season.

If I can get another free emerald, das cool.
