I have so far come across 7 or 8 different aimbot pharah users in QP in the span of two weeks. Sometimes it was back-to-back. How do I know they were aimbots and not just really good at Pharah? Because all of their best-in-game accuracy stats on Pharah are above 90% and most of them are at 100%. That just doesn’t happen in normal gameplay on Pharah. You are GOING to miss one of your shots, guaranteed, and the best in game stats don’t take into account backfilled games and games that weren’t completed. From the killcams, it was hard to tell they were using aimbot but projectile aimbots simply aren’t like hitscan ones. They have to lead their shots so it’s harder to tell that an aimbot is being used.
I suspect a new Pharah aimbot hack was introduced recently that allows this. I think the same hack might also be allowing Pharahs to stay up in the air without micromanaging their fuel.

Maybe they know how to aim and also it has spread shot

no one aimbots in quick play especially on a hero like pharah… do you know what an aimbot actually looks like
if you really dont know what a real aimbot looks like… look at this

Aimbot on projectiles? unlikely lol

Hit 1 rocket. Switch. 100% best accuracy.

Pharah has the 2nd slowest moving projectile in game. It’s impossible to make a program that could predict the movement of other players past 20m consistently.
Take me for example. I’ve spent hours working on my Pharah skills, 400 hours on record, and my direct hits really only collide maybe 20-30% of the time with a 48% accuracy rating overall. My guess they’re smurfs or alt accounts, seeing your skill rating it wouldn’t surprise me that they’re getting such amazing accuracy ratings against players of your skill especially if they’re higher in Plat or Diamond range. Bronze isn’t a difficult tier to square off against.
No, they’re not hacking, flat out no way. Stop the speculation it’s not possible. Learn to vary your movement and dodge them.

Haha, now that is a funny comment. Someone forgot the huge ban waves this game has had.

Your rank suggests you maybe move in predictable patterns. I know I did when I was that low.

Although projectiles aimbot does exist in many games (TF2 Huntsman aimbot, or 1 very old case of an aimlock Zenyatta), heroes with long projectile traveling time is very hard to make, as there are too many variables at stake.
So that guy might be very good at predicting rockets, or just a smurf. Probably a smurf.

For an aimbot to be on pharah, it’s either going to track you and miss a majority of the time due to projectile speeds, or it can predict your movements perfectly as though it can read your mind in order to hit you. Neither case seems feasible.

For all the people saying that aimhacking with projectiles is impossible, that’s not true at all.
Copy and append this onto a reddit domain:

It’s also not hard to mask the hallmarks of aimhacking, especially with a hero like Pharah where you have to lead shots so far out from the hero. A lot of aimbots actually act as soft aim locks too where each time a rocket, bullet etc is fired, the reticle gets nudged closer to the target. It’s also not necessary to have a 100% accurate aimbot when dealing with splash damage so as long as you keep within 20-30m the aimbot should be fairly accurate even with such a slow moving projectile.
As for the best in game stat, ok you got me there. That’s true, I guess it is possible to get a 100% best in game b/c of switching but if that was the case, it would be happening to a lot more people and it isn’t.
I recently called one of these suspected aimbotters out on match chat. The next game I got into, that same Pharah was in the game and I could tell that they had turned off aimbot because they weren’t landing many shots, when before they were landing direct hit after direct hit.
I’m saying this as a computer scientist myself. A pharah aimbot is not a hard thing to develop if you already know how to make other aimbots. You just have to add an algorithm that predicts based on the target’s current vector.
Also, the players I’m talking about weren’t in high ranks. Mostly bronze, some silvers, and a couple of golds. Not only that but several of their other heroes had similar stats, like Widowmaker.
They’re not hacking buddy.
It’s your elo if anything, Pharah at your skill level is notorious for being difficult to take down and can wreak havoc without being challenged. Pair it with a potential smurf account and she’s unstoppable. Trust me, whenever I pick up a new account I stomp the first few matches until the MMR sets up and I get paired with people of my own rank.
I know you’re desperately trying to push a narrative here but I assure you that if someone was going to hack they’d be using hitscan. The effort it would take to give Pharah an aimbot would be frustrating and semi useless as it would only work with mixed results within a 15m range well within her counter’s ranges.
Please, just learn to dodge? It’s a really good skill to have.

Am i really that lucky that i dont think i ever saw a hacker in overwatch?
or is everyone else just accusing accurate players for using hacks?

I’m in QP my Elo doesn’t mean anything there and like I said before, most of these players aren’t out of my Elo in their ranked games. I know how to dodge pharah but these particular ones hit almost all of their shots, if not all of them, and that is extremely fishy. Also, regarding smurfs, none of these accounts were new. They had all been established accounts with tons of playtime. And just because Pharah is a cr@p hero for aimbotting doesn’t mean someone can’t do it and pull it off reasonably well, esp because of splash damage.
How do you know what their accuracy was? Was there a card for it at the end of the match? If so, you’ve seen said cards that many times? As a solo-querer in QP? Seems a bit too neat to me mate…

It’s on your career profile under statistics. I’d also like to point out that these pharahs had other stats that were fishy like 100% best in game on widow which IS a hero people use aimbot on.
just checked mine. i have 100 percent. guess i had a good game.
or maybe according to you i have new hax that somehow know which way every character will move since her rockets travel the speed of snails.
why you looking up best in game and not their overall accuracy

How does this aimbot work with Pharah’s projectiles?

So sad to see that you don have and prove .
It true that there is many mcree and widow aimbot .
