New OW2 win/loss streak observation!

Win/loss streak observations from OW1:

  • Only happens on heroes where you’re playmaker.
  • Loss streaks most likely mid day, win streaks late evening.
  • Loss streak starts with a “zero impact” tank on your team - will feel like the diff between the best and worst player on your team is 2-4 ranks.
  • Win streak starts when you feel another player in your team is as good as or even boosting you. Only lasts one game, but the win streak is allowed to continue for another 4-8 games.

But here is the surprise!:

New OW2 observation:

  • Loss streaks often have 2 “zero impact” DPS on your team as in 0-5 kills per round in addition to the “zero impact” tank, while enemy team DPS is easily doing 20+ kills per round. This is a new development never observed in OW1, possibly caused by the lack of a second tank that could create working conditions for the DPS even if the first tank consistently failed.

Any one else see this?

No I focus more on my own gameplay. I’m a Lucio player, but have been playing a lot of Lucio/Mercy/Moira this season. I just try to focus on things within my control. I’ve climbed back to my career high (gm 5) and if I’m lucky (good) will hit gm4 next rank up.

NO I get massive loss streaks at night to point where Im pulling my hair out of my head. win streaks any other time because the (profanity) are not playing. Im so tired of working until late and getting home to play with people who queue as support and want to heal and dps who don’t know that they have to actually left click and shoot to deal with enemies. I play tank and legit support around my whole team and it feels like I am going so tryhard that I’m holding point and turning around to protect healers while nothing is actually able to move ever. This is a painful night… About to derank after 12 losses. (it feels guaranteed at this point)

story time

people in OW1 used to start throwing once they noticed a loss streak coming on.

this was to help the match maker determine that it’s time to turn wins back on.

you didn’t hear it from me :face_with_peeking_eye:
