It feels almost like a regular game of quick play depending on your hero and mask. Its just meh but really it feels like they are trying to do too much.
Perks are a good addition, but in my opinion really thats where the new add ons and extra abilities to customize need to stop.
This game feels fine with just the base + perk and if we keep adding stuff for the sake of adding stuff its going to get unfun and too complicated. This is the reason why i stay away from deadlock and have never played it.
I really hope the hero combos dont make it into the main game, because it could work out to really favor heroes that already work well together which might increase toxicity or make this game even more steam-rolly at times
I enjoyed the 3 games i played last night.
Hanzo was fun when paired with genji.
Rein was fun.
Junk was fun with the hog mask.
It is basically just normal qp with different perks and less heroes. I think the less heroes part made it more fun for me.
Tbh the hanzo mask would be way more fun if it gave wall climb instead of distance dmg boost. Imagine rein with wall climb haha.

i didnt realize that in order for a certain characters mask to be available, someone on your team has to play that character.
soo just like team ups in marvel rivals, your characters potential is even further limited by what your team picks to play which is kinda unfortunate. i wanted to try the mercy+torb mask to give allies his overload ability, but no one ever wanted to play torb :')
well you may better start to like it because this is the super mega duper update for 2026 that will ruin pvp again, now more limits in how you play the game, hero bans and now will be forced to pick a team up
I think we should get rid of the perks too.
