but lifeweaver can cancel an enemy mercy rez by putting the pettle platform under her.

Thatās not new, I think it was one of the first big ruin enemy plans plays I saw from not Blizz. Meiās also done that with Wall for years if the soul and Mercy are far enough.
Perfectly valid counterplay by forcing Mercy out of Rez range.

I wouldnāt have thought so. The timing on it seems reasonably tight, and itās not like thereās outcry about other Rez cancelling abilities like boops.
Itās just an ability that counters her rez. Itās not some hidden ātechā.

duh, also rez shouldnāt be as good as it is going off around corners while we are at it.
That is by design. You can cancel a LOT of ults and ult like abilities with petal.
You should see what it does to Grav. It isnāt pretty.
Ability use. āTechā implies something more complicated and, often, not explicitly obvious.
I accidentally put a platform under our orisa during her ult. So many good (and bad) potential uses, but thatās what makes a skill great, right?
As a 2,000 hour mercy main and playing LW for the last many days.
GOOD.
I havenāt had that happen to me once as mercy and if a LW is smart enough and good enough at timing you pull that off- itās deserved.
Off topic but something about booping mercy out of rez range as Lucioā¦ Spikes the dopamine for a solid 10 seconds
Tbh she should be within 1m from the rez and not moving at all especially in valk for a rez.
Or just replacing this ability.
Its litteraly denying a well earned kill most of the time.

Not the best example considering thereās nothing stopping Widow from immediately taking out that support again, making Mercy waste her Rez cooldown while giving Widow more ult charge.
You mean besides cover / movement abilities / your tank / widow getting attacked by somebody or widow just missing shots ?
A widow isnt one shoting everybody every second.
But yeah sorry i talked about the big bad widow that isnt liked at the moment.
So replace the name widow by āany body in your team got a kill on a support at the start of the fight but obviously cant walk past the ennemy team to cancel the rez thats happening behind a wall without just suicidingā
I was playing Rein once when queueing all roles, and got Life Gripped right as I went to use my Ult. Rein made the audio that precedes his Shatter, but then I was carted off. Hehe. It wasnāt intentional, and after I mentioned it, the LW apologized, and I said no problem. That being said, would be nice if the grip didnāt interrupt certain abilities.
You donāt have to stay over the platform to res. You can do it within 5 meters having no clear LoS on the body even. And if you try to put platform underneath her ressing already, there would be not enough time for it to deploy.
If I had the reaction speed to consistently make plays like that, I wouldnāt be trolling, Iād be signing and OWL team.
