Guys, this leak kinda seems legit when you read it. Like it could be anybody, but for a person that seems like they’re really there to talk about WoW stuff, he is kinda spot on with the overwatch details for the new heroes. What do you think?
Edit: he even has the press release statement for WoW including the disclaimers. If this is fake, he put waaaaay too much work into this.
Three new heroes (Sojourn, Mauga, Yako).
Right off the bat I’m thinking that’s fake. Mauga became Sigma, unless devs actually ended up making him afterwards, Mauga is supposedly just the artwork…
Mauga was long ago confirmed by devs to be still an upcoming hero.
Edit: well they HEAVILY implied it anyway

I forget what they said verbatim, but they did say after Sigma released they are still interested in Mauga becoming a hero further down the line, just that the specific kit for that iteration became Sigma instead.
I don’t know about this leak though, it’s based just enough on what we already know to be true that it’s hard to call fake but also vague enough that I don’t want to get my hopes up.
This. I’m pretty sure it was when they showed off Sigma’s gameplay in a stream with the devs when he first came out.
See, I think it’s not vague at all. I think it’s hyper specific actually. And the fact that he seems to know the details about Mauga and Fox Girl despite presumably not being an overwatch player is why I think it’s real. The only people who would really know about those two are people who are really into overwatch.
Mauga was confirmed by the devs to be a playable hero sometime later but for some reason everyone ignores this
And Sigma is made out of unused/cut abilities so they can do this with literally any future heroes

Mauga became aigma but jeff said theyre pushing mauga to the back of the pipeline so hes still in development. Because he needs to be in the game for when baptistes stories come out for pve.
I think it was one of jeffs fireside christmas eve videos or something.
I KNOW he mentioned mauga during sigmas release.
But they never said they had canceled mauga
Ok so first, EVERYONE look out for the 18th of February. IF there’s an announcement then this statement is true. Then we look out for the hero announcements.

Sounds extremely believable to me personally. Especially since the new hero reveals are either basically confirmed already or already hinted at in game (Mauga confirmed by Jeff and Fox Girl in concept art and Kanezaka). Got me hyped.

Which is good because Mauga is forking awesome.
As someone who plays WoW I could have written that exact same thing. Basically nothing is in there that anyone who plays WoW and wanted to make one up would not have written.
It just combines things they announced with direction the recent patch is going and adds in the recent discovery of pre order mounts. It does the same thing with Overwatch. If you wanted to make up a believable OW2 leak would you not have posted something similar?

There was somebody on the forum awhile back that said everyone would be surprised there’d be no Archives this year…will it be replaced by this? Arbitrarily jump to conclusions power, activate!
I mean, yes. This is an anonymous leak with his only source is “Trust me, bro. I know a guy”, but I disagree that this would’ve been something I would’ve made up. It comes across very heavily detailed to me. He even has the disclaimers in there for the promotional ad. Could it be fake? Absolutely, of course it could. But it could also be real. Right now all we can do it is read it and guess, and I’m guessing that it is. I suppose we will know for sure in 7 days.
