New hitboxes are unreal big

Nah, I gotta strongly disagree with you on the comment about Blizzard not rigging matchmaking. After what I personally have experienced, and what I have observed regularly from people’s streams who still for some reason or another play this game? The matchmaking is super-awful, and absolutely is rigged.

In my opinion Blizzard does not need to rig hitboxes, it can’t get any worse :slight_smile:

What is happening with the MM is something else. I don’t know what is going on there, but they seem to have lost control of it.

play overwatch like a game people, do not need to take the game seriously like we have invested hundreds of dollars into the game

Ackshually its done in gears of war titles and i believe Zarya has it.

Youre right though majority of ow cast it comes from close to camera, theres some marblr or KarQ vid on it

Revert S9 changes and bring some skill back to the game. People complain about Cassidy, but that is only because S9 changes made it easier to land shots they’d be missing.

A big, heavily arching projectile like Zarya’s could maybe be pulled off like that. It would not need to be so exact in relation to the crosshair.

So do you have any evidence of this or do you just ‘feel’ like it’s rigged?

Also explain to me exactly how it is rigged.

Also explain to me what incentives blizzard would have to rig it.

Because if you can’t do any one of those 4, then go back to the drawing board and reconsider your viewpoints. I used to also be like you and think the matchmaker was rigged until I took a step back and realized that the matchmaker was actually just poorly programmed, the servers suck, and my settings were giving me random input lag every frame.

One i fixed the issues I could ( and blizzard toned down their “loss streak avoidance” losers queue system ) I found I was winning a lot more games, and the losses that I did get were either stomps because of smurfs/stacks or close games.

The game is not trying to get you to lose on purpose, you’re just getting f___ed by random chance, made even more random by smurfs, boosted players, and the idiotic decision to smoosh MMR values together so that Gold makes up more than 40% of the playerbase, meaning that game that would’ve been Silver3 - Plat3 is now Gold4 - Gold2, which is obviously terrible match quality hidden behind the rank range display.

If you have an account that cannot trigger smurf protection because of how old it is, it is almost impossible to climb out of gold/plat soloq because of the wildly varying match quality. It also doesn’t matter if you hard carry if the enemy realizes this and takes the cheap and easy route by counterswapping every hero you play, killing you first, and then killing the rest of your team that play like they only picked the game up yesterday, they will win at basically no risk to themselves, so you have to put in waaay more effort than you reasonably should, playing on the fine line of playmaking / survivability and if you fall off that tightrope even once you just lose the whole game. I have had multiple fights in plat/gold where I kill 2 as dps or support and die after, then think “there’s no way they mess this up”, and somehow my team manages to lose the 3v4 EVERY SINGLE TIME. Again, the matchmaker is not rigged, it’s just poorly programmed.

… So to be clear, saying this as a negative thing implies that Tracer is meant to sprint full force directly at her enemies’ LoS? Because even a high-rank Tracer doing that is liable to just fall over.

Casino’s are not built for you to win in them but for the idea that you COULD win while losing… the same is true for engagement based systems in gaming… They are built as time sinks to create a better inflow for monetized systems within the ecosystem…

Thus activision is incentivized to create these mechanics because sadly our world is ruled by data driven analytics that can be worded to give the illusion of simplicity to share holders/executives and save a company another quarter… it sucks but its reality, and its hard to get back on track once you spiraled into that situation due to worth equating to overall revenue.

There is a big difference between what you are suggesting and then reality.
In the current setup, an enemy Cassidy can just spin around and shoot, and there is a high likelyhood that he will headshot a close-range Tracer, simply because of the size of the hitboxes. That is something that would take immense skill and luck before to pull off.

If a Tracer runs at an enemy, then I would also expect the Tracer to lose IF THE ENEMY LANDS HIS SHOTS! Not because the shots are trivial to land.
The issue here is the removal of mechanical skill.

Nah if you can’t go out of gold it is simply because you don’t understand how the game works for now, but keep playing and watch really good players play the game so you will learn.

So for you skill doesn’t matter and yet you’re still not GM…
