This is already sounding ridiculous. I have no comment. Early access to new heroes for those that buy the Battle Passes??

Yeah, saw that. TBH, as long as the early access it’s too long, I’m fine with that.
It’s a lot better than requiring payment, with no alternatives.
The standard I’ve seen for free to play games is usually buying the character outright with a decent amount of in game currency. I’d take a little bit of a EA for battle pass owners over that.
I have a feeling this is just poorly worded, and talking about how the watchpoint pack gives you confirmed access to the beta

Also they promised all new heroes would be free to everyone. Not just for people who bought the battle pass

F2P is a death sentence for games. Apex has it set up where most champions are locked and you are either forced to spend real money to unlock them or treat the game like a second full time job to earn enough in-game currency to unlock them.
OW2 is going to be a dumpster fire.

This must be some kind of misunderstanding. If they have the heroes ready you would think they would release them. Why add one every two seasons when you have more to release?
Yeah. This is bad worded. Heroes are not put behind a “progression / pay” wall!

This wouldn’t have happened if Jeff were here. Having new heroes available to everyone for free asap was one of the things he clearly fought for. Keller clearly compromised with C-suite on this one. And so the executive erosion of overwatch’s quality begins.

Which would give you early access to new hero’s because you get access to the beta?

Locking heroes behind a battlepass will kill competitive, unless you’re only matched with other battlepass players.

where does it say that?? or are you just talking about the beta access?
By early access they are referring to October 4. They said that everywhere.
I think the game will launch on October 8 for everyone.
