Ideally, they could: we know they have an unannounced core game mode to replace Assault – that likely means specific maps for it.
Also, we still haven’t seen the map set in Portugal yet.
EDIT: Reading failure on my own part, they do in fact state that heroes, maps, and modes will be given through battle passes.
I hate what OW2 is doing to OW as much as the next guy, but spreading false information to generate hate just makes it look like you just hate the game and have no valid critisism’s of it. No where in that post you linked did it say battlepasses would give exclusive content beyond cosmetics.
The amount of people on the forums that can’t read an article to save their lives is just mind-boggling. Give me a favor and read the paragraph under the first video.
It is LITERALLY in the articles they have published. Blizzard has outright stated this.

Well then I guess you can’t read. Check under the video.
All would be available on the free path. I am also unclear where you added maps and game modes from. I am also not really sure how either would work logistically. Note I do not actually like the change but at least do not lie about what the change is because that makes your post simply something they can ignore as false information.
Edit: when saying all I should mention I am referring to the 3 things the OP is referring to even if only 1 is as of yet even said to be in the BP.

All is not some you simply lied. I read your post and it was false and I called it as such. You added information that no one was talking about and used the word some where it was confirmed to be all considering that of the 3 things you listed ONLY heroes are said to be in the BP and heroes are confirmed to be in the free part so ALL are on the free path as of now.

Example: Battle Pass including etc
Meaning: Things in the battlepass.
