New Graphics Card Now Lagging >_>

Updated my graphics driver to ADM Radeon R6 and now my OW is lagging at like 7-10 fps in every game with graphics on the lowest possible setting. How do i fix this? Any thoughts?

Technical support forums?

Did you try their website to download the latest? The identical thing happened to me all last week and yesterday. I was showing no available updates through the amd app but went to the website and saw I was outdated. Fixed all my problems.

Thats where i got the update im using right now which was posted 2 days ago D:

Radeon r6 will be pretty poor.

ADM Radeon is the chip. But who actually made the card?

Damn,
I read something about doing a clean install with amd problems but I dont know what that is to be honest. Look it up if you understand that mumbo jumbo. Sorry I couldnt help

Wait ADM it’s a fake AMD gpu, this person has got a 3dFX

I think the OP might have blundered a bit when he purchased the card. It’s super low-end if it’s adm and not amd.

What card do you have exactly?

What the hell is an R6?

AMD R6 is a cpu, not a gpu.

If you got that and plugged it into your motherboard, you’re fine. If you got it and plugged it into your video card port, then you’re either building your own card or you just got swindled.

Im on an HP Pavillion Notebook Laptop my dudes. I have to download my drivers and their updates XD. Which i did i had an AMD Radeon R5. Updated it to an R6 18.7.1. and now my OW is lagging out like hell. But i had to do it for WoW’s new stuff to be compatible.

You really should take this problem to HP’s live chat for help then. They’ll be able to walk you through what you need to do.

If that won’t work, just restore your system and remove the update. You won’t play WoW, but you’ll be able to play the other games until you (or HP) figures out what’s wrong.

I don’t keep up with PC specs unless I’m currently looking to build a new one, but if this helps:

I run a Win 7
AMD Radeon R9 390 gfx card (Sapphire mfr)
Intel i5-6600k CPU @3.5GHz
16GB Ram

Not great by current standards, but still a well enough machine to play just about any game on high-ultra settings at 60fps 1080p.

Lunar Colony has had some moments of causing me some pretty significant FPS drops since it got reworked, and I get error 11057 [doesn’t let me join voice]. I think AMD gfx cards just aren’t very compatible with Overwatch, tbh.

*Edit to add: The next time I build a new PC, AMD is not going in it. Every generation, AMD gfx cards have problems, whether if it’s game compatibility or faulty driver updates [which sometimes cause serious harmful problems], and every game seems to be designed for compatibility with Intel.

So you updated the cpu on your laptop…? Describe to us the process you did to complete said upgrade. Did you upgrade software or did you rip open the back to swap out the CPU at the socket? One seems far more likely to me but I want to be sure.
