so, does OW have an actual Capture the flag mode? The should make an 8 v 8 open queue capture the flag mode that works like the CTF mode in WoW, where you pick up the enemys flag and run it back to your base, but the enemy can pick up YOUR flag and run it back to their base…but you cant score a point unless your flag is in your base and you return the enemy flag to your base.
also, maybe take a mode from there other game, CoD, and make a demolition mode?

Tbh i dont think OW needs new gamemodes, they need to focus on new maps for existing modes, also tbh, forget about these reworks, having certain comps on certain maps is better for the game.
honestly, and im probably alone in this, but i wish they would offload some of the map design work to the playerbase. what i mean by that is, develop a workshop mode where the players can build their own maps. Have banks of placeable objects from buildings down to plants and let users build maps from a set tile of a certain size.
Kind of like the golf course designers you get in some golf games. Same concept.
Also, there was a shooter a LONG time ago called Outlaws, and i believe that game had a map builder in it where players could create their own maps.
I’d like to see something like that happen in OW, and you could share maps and play them in arcade mode…but, blizzard could also select maps that are really good, and put them into the main game rotation.
ive seen people talk about map editors before, could be very good.

Cop-out! Cop-out! Booooooo…
Anyway, I’ve ideas (and map designs) for a Domination mode, and I’ve repurposed the Assault gamemode into a sort-of Search and Destroy mode.
How is it a cop out? 2/3 game modes they released in OW2 are terrible to play and its going to take a long time to get enough maps out for them they feel good. Why waste time when they can focus on maps for gamemodes that majority of people actually enjoy. If you want new modes and stuff to do go to Custom Games.

I think there should be a large-team CTF mode, just like Halo. Id be so into that!
The game engine was not made for that and this wouldn’t work b/c of performance issues.
I genuinely don’t think we need more game modes. Just let people play what they like. None of the new game modes are popular and most people like the older game modes, so I would say just make more maps for them.
Im going to go against everyone else and say we need lots more gamemodes. Personally loved all the new modes and would love to see even more. Best form of content imo.

Overwatch does have a seasonal ctf mode. It’s during lunar new year at the start of the year. Usually in february, but it can vary.
